I'd like to know how many of ya consider piracy a crime.
I don't see anything bad in it but I'd like to know your opinions on the matter.

Yes, I do consider it a crime ( unfortunatly lol). Copying and selling ( for cheaper) a movie or a CD, is considered stealing. Its taking away the profits from the original creator.
BUT.. is it still considered illegal if you are copying it, but not selling it? simply giving it away to friends or family instead? or prehaps making "backup" of what you already got?
Hmm... I think it's legal (at least in Finland) to download pirated movies, music, etc., it's just that it's illegal to share 'em. AND I think it's legal (again, at least in Finland) to give away FREE copies. It's consideres illegal only if ya make profit...Originally Posted by _gwenibe_

It is wrong, since people worked hard to make the stuff. CDs, movies, etc.
But people do it anyway.![]()
You may also call me JinKaze.
Piracy, a crime? well yes it is, but that doesen't stop people from doing it.
Here in Srbia even my 12 year old brother knows how to bypass security systems.
but its cheaper to buy games on the market (2$) and thats a good thing... for me.
I admit I buy pirat CD's, and I'm proud of it.
