Oh goodness you should work for others to accept you be yourself and confident your bound to be popular to someone as long as you are a nice person.

If you have no friends talk to people being shallow is not ok since the rest of your life you'll do it since you really don't know how to make a friend. Get a friend that actually likes you for you and stick to it they will have friends that will probably be the same way as you, remember being comfortable is the best way to making friends.

I was Popular in High school...
But i never kissed anyone's ass
I was popular while i was original..
I didn't really care if i was or wasn't
though.. Also although I was popular
there were only about 20 or so people
I was really tight with.. I still keep in
touch with most of them... and a few
of them I talk to almost everyday!

Being popular isn't really that big.. As long as you find REAL friends that you can trust!
Truthfully I was kind of an Ass to people I didn't consider my REAL friends..!

I was never considered populer, well at least I never considered myself in that catergory. They way I present myself depends on who is talking to me and how they are talkijng to me. If they talk to me like I am a human being, then I will do the same, and maybe I will make jokes with them here and there, but it wouldn't be nothing too serious.
If it is someone who wants to talk to me like a child and I am benath them, then I will treat them like they are non-existent to me. Most people say that is what made me "popular" among the school, but it made no difference to me. I simply went on with my school days basically the same way.

In my school, you have to smoke, do drugs, and be a gangster to be "truly" popular...personally i do not want ANY of that...all of my brothers have smoked before (even my 12 yr old brother!) and i've seen firsthand how drugs can effect you..so i don't want any of that either..and i REALLY don't want to embarrass myself by having worse grammar then a 3 yr old..i mean i know this one guy at school who says "Heys, hands me a stok" which translates as "could you hand me a smoke" i mean wtf..so i don't care for popularity..

I never wanted to be popular. When you are popular, you are at the centre of attention and everyone sees your flaws, your drama, everything. Popularity in school, I think, is less important than people think it is. Everyone needs acceptance from their peers in school, but popularity itself is overrated.

about all popularity in school is good for is to give you more opportunies to be laid by someone "pretty," or at least prettier. My school is so heavily divided into cliques that I guess I don't really consider anyone cool or overly popular. I suppose the most popular kid in my eyes would be the guy or girl who can easily engage themself into any clique without having to worry about their "reputation." Popularity at the high school level is only useful for student offices like class president or homecoming queen or something. Which are pointless institutions in the first place for a lot of people, like me.

damn, i'm actually in high school. I don't kiss ass, i stick with my own opinions, but it's kinda hard to make friends when no one knows you because you're not talked about, `cept by the people you knew from >8th grade...

I consider being popular just having a lot of friends and not caring what other people think about you i think the whole rich and popular thing is blown out of proportion everyone one wants to be popular but almost everyone is already and dont realize it.

Actually, I stayed original and had a small group of really good friends. I was a nerd, but a lot of the outcast kids and I hung out and talked. I had a group of friends that I roleplayed with and was generally well-liked in school. There were those that didn't like me, but I didn't care. My friends were my friends.

hey one for the nerds! (me included-.-) i am still in high school and have a close knit group of friends that i used to hang out with in 9th grade, but as we progressed through the years split up in different classes and even different grades. But dont dispair! we are still in touch and are very good friends, however few there are, and i love them all. Besides,come to think of it, why would you want twenty friends all pulling at you at once when all you want to do is find somwone or two or three that are real friends and do what u want to do? being popular ain't all it's cracked up to be. the more friends you have the harder it is to distinguish from real and fake. for me being popular is too much of a strain on my nerves(skikamaru coming out in me) and id much rather keep my little group than have a billion friends any day. ok ok ill shut up since i think u got my point even if it is written backwards, upsidedown, and sloppy...yeah sorry my hand really hurts...wahhh....shutting up!
