It's been put into light here in America that our privacy has and still is being invaded without our knowing. I'm not uncomfortable with it since it's for the good of homeland secruity, so if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear, that simple. We will always have some amount of privacy, not every person on the planet can be tracked and monitored at one time, or alteast I don't think it can be done lol. However if my privacy got to be an extreme issue becuase of invasion I would have to stop using so many electronics which are easily monitored. But keeping even a minimal amount of privacy would be hard if you had something inserted into your body like a microchip.

I feel that we should more freedom here in the USA but I doubt that will ever happen even if we get a better president. Also I think the whole inserting chips into your body is against our rights is it not i'm pretty sure it is.

Also come to think about it what rights do we have I know we have more rights than most countries but really what freedoms do we have. I remember reading that some guy back in the 1900's made a free energy power plant where we wouldnt have to pay for electricty but the GOVT. took the plans for that and demolished them and through the guy in jail... hmm makes ya wonder what this GOVT is up to behind the scenes :eek:

thank goodness i live in good old canada. They have extreamly strict laws but we value our privacy.

to be honest i do think our information or privacy is constantly being invaded. i mean everytime u sign something or give details about some prize, the information u send out can acctually be sold. this is usually sold to companies mainly telemarketers and so on. also don't forget that nearly all of our online activities are most likely being recorded somewhere nomatter how careful we are on the net, it still gets recorded.

really i don't mind if i got no privacy at all, i lived most of my life up untill now with little to no privacy at all so i'm used to it. and to be honest, if u look back onto the ages "pirvacy" is only a recent thing, i think its only been around a few hundred of yrs or so. but like all things i think the amount of privacy is goin to slowly decrease with the excesses use of electronic, but i wouldn't to be able to give them up. there just 2 useful.

I think a few people on here hit it on the head. Privacy is usually invaded for some reason. Though not always the case, there are reasons that the government is keeping tabs on you. Like stated earlier, Homeland Security is an essential in the United States now. After so many incidents of terrorism not only from forien countries but our own people in the last 10 years, some sort of invasion is going to be expected. If you have no dirt to uncover, than who cares? Are you woried that someone's going to see all of that porn you downloaded? Who cares? Or maybe the illegal games/anime that you got off of your favorite P2P server. Obviously nothing has happened yet so don't worry.

I guess I just don't understand with me never having privacy anyways.

lots of perves use it to there advantage it should be controlled
to a certain point so perves cant hide

I have mixed feelings on the subject. Mostly, if you have nothing illegal to hide, you shouldn't mind the government poking about for security proposes, of course, this would only be true if it weren't for the fact the government is full of humans who might sooner misuse this info.

I don't see a problem with a chip implants, to be honest. I find it a rather amusing way to pass the time by thinking up ways to keep prisons (and its prisoners) more secure. Using a RFID system, you could keep track of where every prisoner is at, and if you have the chip over a major nerve group, you could knock out whole cell blocks of prisoners during a riot.

And the encryption thing? Anybody ever read a book by Dan Brown called Digital Fortress? Pretty good read, If you haven't read the book, they built a massive computing... er computer. A couple thousand or so processors to brute force the passkey for encryptions and it reminds you that the government has the cash to likely make such a computer exist.
