Wow! You good sir have brought up a big topic. Hopefully it doesn't get too ugly.

Personally I think it's a horrible thing to do. That's their religious book and to attack them like that in my opinion is a low blow. I see no reason to attack them in that way. That's all just my personal opinion. As horrible as I think it is though it's under freedom of speech.

What I think is that doing that: with the war now, you're just poring gasoline on an already blazing fire.

its a wrong thing to do.its there religious freedom to do what they want.personally it pisses me off when people try to press there religons on others.why cant everyone just be fine and comfortable in there own religion and not bother others with theirs?if their wrong so what? if theyre wrong its their own fault.nothing you can do about it.

I think this has been discussed before ....anyways its just darn obvious that its damn idiocy to burn a "religious" book , be it the quran or any other book .Its racist ,outrageous and instigates further stupid acts .

@ Rikkimia: My grandma kept pressing the Christan religion on to me. While I do believe in something(and what that is isn't anyone's goddamn business) I share a similar belief that someone shouldn't be allowed to press thier religion on others. I've gotten into hot water with both sides on my family with my lack of faith in the Almighty.

Honestly I think that religious places are great for people who feel they should worship in a place on a specific date/time with others and honestly I think helps some people stay in tune with their deity. In the end though I believe that everyone deserves to believe in whatever they want and however they want. Everything is between that person and their deity and everyone else needs to just stay out of that person's business (unless they are asked to be brought into that relationship with the person's diety). Some followers of different religions believe that they have every right to tell people that their religion is wrong however I believe that's an incorrect manner because no one knows for sure their religion is right which is why people say faith.

Well unfortunatly, you will get people like that. Here's a good example: I was in our colledge cafeteria and someone was talking about the "Word" of God. And outta the blue I got singled out when he asked me what I believe in.

When I told him that I wasn't a christian and what I believed in was my own business, he got all huffy and started getting really offended. He started telling me about the benifits of belief. When he didn't get the hint, I finally told him, just to be an ass, I was a Musilm and he should tolorate others faith. You can imagine how that went over: I got about ten different people saying they were going to kill me or that I was going to hell.

I just laughed and finally let them in on the fact that I wasn't a musilm or christain kind of made an impression and I was defenately profaining both religions.

It goes to show how what faith you belong to can affect the relationships on both sides of your family and your peers. I get into all kinds of hot water in this situation.
