*hmph* well the main part to this has been said... but what about the lost covenent? heard they "found" it a loooooooooong time ago.... but no one but one person can see it >.< whats anyones ideas about that?

Never heard of it. Perhaps a better place to discuss specific beliefs or superstitions such as those is in another thread? Just a friendly thought.

If what you mean by "policing" is my "attempting to bring about at least even some coherence and harmony to this thread while doing my best not to pretend to be a mod", then so be it. Otherwise, maybe you should've brought this topic up over at the Cyber-Lounge in the first place, if all you wanted was just some chitchat about some "oh-so-serious" matter.

Anyways, where the Ark of the Covenant is, I don't really know. What I've heard though is that some group in Africa claims to have it under lock and key in a church or temple somewhere. But the fact that certain groups claim to have it in their possession, and that these claims are far-fetched, does not disprove the veracity of religion at all.

No, I have to agree, it is a completely separate subject and has no real impact on the thread topic.

I would love to see psychial's wrap up though. It could be interesting.

Religion....

It's an odd subject to be sure. In all honesty, I think it is man kinds way of trying to justify a small exsistance. Perhaps it makes the human race feel better if we thought there was something out there that made us the ultimate being of the universe. Made in His image, always under his protection...but always subject to his wrath. Doesn't matter what religion really, all of them belive in some diety that can make or destroy their exsistance completely. Is it true? Who knows? Most text regarding religion were written by men who claimed to be inspired or possed by their diety. So who could say if it's true or false. All you can do is wait till judgement day comes and find for yourself if there trully is that something you belived in....

Waiting till Judgement Day to see if something is true, is not exactly sound advice, my friend. (2nd Thessalonians chapter 1, verses 5-10). Evidence of the world you live in gives ample proof of a creator! The current circumstances we live in today is ample proof that something is definitely wrong! It would be wise to consider what is the reality from the Bible as it is , yes, the only reliable source to consult what "the truth" really is.
It's What MEN have wrote and advocated over the centuries has twisted the truth of the bible making up the different religions, that has caused so much confusion, and now everyone today is in disbelief.
