The right to smack a child? - Page 4

I have to say I don't like it because it's been done to me and frenkly I think that it shoudn't be band .I mean if a kid is acting outragoius in a store then yeah smack the kid. but it shoudn't be something that happens every second so no I shouldn't.

I get smacked around alot by my dad.I have alot of bruses on my back,legs and arms.

"Smacking" is not a right word ... "spanking" or "slaps" are better words. YES! The parents shold be allowed to punish their children. Smacking is better when the child is totally out of control, won't take no for an answer etc .... then smacking is the option ... well in little bits, not like punching them etc.

I think that even if we ban "smacking" or "spanking" or whatever violence is used against children won't be seen anyways by anyone or known by anyone because children are scared of there parents...

well Im not for it...There is no point in smack a child...well it did work wit me but I was terrible to my parents as kid cause I was 2 spoild...but the secret isnt smack, its all about say no and teach right and wrong in right age!!

As do I. My friend's parents are going through a crisis with their two year old. The problem? She's bad as hell and they have to argue wih her to do what they say. She cries for everything she wants and she's a spoiled little brat.. At the age of two.

At times she agrees and her mother smiles and looks at me. "See" she says, "there are other ways of raising your child."

I return the smile and nod. Her child is going to be so ffriggin' bad, it's not even funny. First off, the child talks back, throws stuff, and of course almost never listens to the parents.

Then again, I could be wrong. She could actually get better with age, and be the model child.

Either way? I'm gonna have some fun watching her grow up.
