skool uniform hey, well

my skool doesn't really have a uniform as such but more like a dress code. we really have a choice of what to wear but with resrtictions. like we haft to wear a white shirt, but the pants can be jeans, black, blue pants, and they have to meet in the middle, like ur belly or anything like that shows.

to me thats how a uniform should be, you can express yourself to some degree and still have the benifits of belonging to a skool 'community'. outsider can be easily picked out and we are able to freely express our selves. but our skool is more of an 'adult learning environment' since the majority of students are 16-18 yrs old. but i would like to see other skools give it a go since for use so far it had been only good, but its only been a recent thing so it will be interesting to see wat happens.

so to finaly answer ur question i think u should have skool uniforms it has many benifits but there are always draw backs, but a good compermise give u the best of both worlds, but both side need to be willing to take responsibility otherwise thing just wont work.

I like wearing my own clothes and all and being who i am. But i always thought that uniforms would be cool. Never had to wear them though. I think it might be easier for people to see people for who they are. Because you know those kids in school who are too poor to have more than one or two outfits...well you wouldn't be able to tell anymore! So you can just see them for who they are!

I think too many people believe that uniforms only serve to restrict your creativity and how you express your sense-of-self.

I think that uniforms, on the contrary, can help strengthen how you see yourself as a person. Instead of having to define yourself by what you wear, you'd have to focus more on what's inside the clothes.

i think school uniforms are really great, but i really couldn't care less if all schools had uniform or not. it's the school's choice, and if you decide to attend a school, you're agreeing to abide by their rules.

if i had the choice between a school with uniform, and a school without uniform, i'd definitely go for the one with school uniform. here in australia, i don't really have a choice. i have to wear school uniform, but i'm not complaining. i really like my uniform, and wear it with pride. i mean, at least i'm not spending hundreds of dolllars a year on clothes

Depends during like ur younger age yes u should be made to wear them as they should say ur part of tht school n u should displince. But like when u reach 16 onwards u shuld be able to wear ur own clothes.

overall, it's a good idea, because it prevents people from making fun other people because of their clothes(if they are too poor to afford good clothes, or have no fashion sense...), but it identifies what school your from and kids from a rival school will be more likely to jump you.
