And they try and tell you that it's not classified as "alive" until it's born. This is nonsense. As early as 5-6 months, when doctors send a wire camera inside the mother to view the fetus up close, the fetus defensivly holds it's hands up infront of it's face when the bright light is shined on it.

You didn't read my response to you earlier did you.

Let me say this again, you are in the USA. In the USA there is and average wait of 10 years for parents to adopt babies. The demand for wanted babies is higher then the supply and you have to get on a list and wait... and wait... and wait. I should know, I have several aunts who couldn't have children and adopted. Babies put up for adoption never see an orphanage especially since they don't exist here.

It is not easy to say whether it should be legal or illegal to do abortion. But my opinion is that abortions should be carried out after assessing the reasons why the abortion should be carried out.

Now I know Rape, but you can still give the baby to someone who CAN take care of them, whats better? To kill, or to let them live in a warm welcome family?

Not to be rude, But when a child comes into your life, you have to set YOURSELF aside and think of whats best for them. Not your feelings. Not your hurts. Don't base your decision between life and death becuase of what happened to you. They are still your child and they still want your love.

I don't mean to come across as a total meany, I don't mean to forget the mothers, I don't mean to hurt any feelings...But think about it. I mean really think about it.

My sister just had a baby. She Just turned 19, but it is out of wedlock and she is totally dependant on my mom and father. (Divorced though)

Now I'm an Aunt ^.^ And Darn well proud of it.
But my step dad said something to my sister that makes me choke up everytime I think of it.
He said "Aren't you glad you kept it?"

Now I wanted personally to slap him for saying that, because it was completely randomly rude and inconsiderate, but I think "Wow, what if he was never here."

Ladies and Gents, I love my Nephew to death and if he ever died I don't know what I would do. He's only 4-5 months old still...He's so precious.

How could you give something up so precious? How?

Some very good points. Personally I believe abortion is very wrong. It is murder despite what anyone says or believes. If the child is going to harm the mother then I think that is justified but otherwise never. If the mother doesn't want the child she can always put it up for adoption, there are couples all over willing to pay thousands for a baby. Abortion is wrong period.

That's such a disgusting attitude to have. There's no reason why you should disconnect yourself from something just because it does not affect you. I'll use alcohol as an example. Imagine if everyone would stop caring about alcohol, about who drinks it, when, and what amount. Ugh. It makes me cringe just thinking about it, the whole philosophy that "if it's not happening to me, then why should we care?" Try and separate yourself from that type of thinking, it's no good.

As for the "behind the desks" jobs, those are bound to happen, and not just with abortion, but with many things. As for deaths and unsafe methods.... Whose fault is that? Maybe women (not including those raped) should stop being so promiscuous and carefree about sex, and it's not just women really, because I'd be hypocritical. The whole nation is at a point right now where sex is OK, and teenagers really don't care anymore. It's their decision, they have to live with the consequences. Unfortunately, abortion allows some to get away with it, in such a disgraceful way (and I know this isn't ALWAYS the case for abortion, but it's a major one, nonetheless).

On top of that, they are the ones to make the decision, not only to murder their baby, but to put themselves in harm's way. I'll never say that someone deserves death or pain, although I've done it, and might want to do it again, but I can't say I would feel overly sympathic if someone made a choice to do a back-alley job.
