I don't care if it ever becomes legal or not. Some people could be responsible about smoking marijuana just like some people are about drinking, but there is always that majority of people who get way out of hand with it.

Honestly, I don't care if people do marijuana, it's their choice. Right now in BC, our laws against marijuana are pretty minimal.....the cops won't bust you if you have marijuana, but if they find you carrying a certain amount then they will, because they'll consider that you had intent to sell (like, if they catch you with a bag of the stuff in your backpack). If they see you smokin a joint, they might take it away from you, but that'd be about the extent.

Honestly, I agree with the current rules.....as long as you're not selling the stuff, then go ahead and smoke up all you want. If you do sell the stuff, that makes you a pusher and not just a recreational smoker.

The people that smoke recreationally aren't the problem over here, it's the people that sell the stuff, because they'll kill over it, and numerous grow ops have been found that are rigged with guns, so that you set it off, you'll get a bullet in the arse. My friend flies planes over on the mainland of BC, and when he's flying he'll see numerous grow ops on the ground, and he's been shot at several times from people on the ground (I highly doubt they'd be able to take out a plane with a .22, but they still try).

Of course, there's the argument that legalizing it means that their won't be a criminal underground to it, and everyone will be happy, but I highly disagree with that......the guys that are on the streets selling weed aren't fighting for the right to smoke, they're in there for the money and drugs, they're not going to become perfect citizens just because weed is legalized.

Ive got way to many friends that have done stupid stuff from weed. I say keep it illegal. It would cause way to many problems. More people would try it because it was legal and that wouldnt be good. But there is still the main part of the population that wouldnt so.....I guess i dont really care

Um.....you don't need to start plantations to grow marijuana.....and the people I know who smoke marijuana, grow their own.......you only need like a few plants and your set for single person use.

The people on the streets who sell it have massive grow-ops, and are generally linked to criminal gangs. Plus, the marijuana that is sold on the streets has other drugs mixed into them to make them more potent.

It requires very little to grow your own marijuana, which is why so many people in BC are able to do it, because of the simplicity. Recreational marijuana does not depend on pushers, but people cultivating their own plants.



*edit* oh, to add to how simple it is to start your own marijuana plants, there's a company in Vancouver that sells marijuana seeds for recreational use. They provide the seeds and instructions for how to get your own plants going. The store openly promotes this, and the city police and the RCMP allow them to continue business because its recreational only. However, the U.S. government is currently trying to extradite the owner of the business (who is currently in jail), because he shipped marijuana seeds to the U.S., which they don't like (the guy's name is Marc Emery).

Anyhoo......it is extremely easy to grow small amounts of marijuana, without having to buy from pushers.

What alot of BS u know why ppl smoke weed and it has nothing to do medical reason for this argument i recon.
They smoke weed so that they can break away from reality ,even if it is for a breaf moment and be high flying away and feeling so free.hehehehehehehe!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey maybe it is for other reasons but one never knows until u feel the need to smoke weed for some reason.I realy think it will create a lazy society if it is legal because example look at China when they had that big Opium problem.

yes i should become legal because they legalized ciggerettes and those are deadly and they legalized liquar and that can kill you if your driving so why not legalize weed it hasnt killed eny one yet it just makes you silly
