    you can look at it this way. god created everything from sounds we hear the things we see and touch. he even created the universe to be infinite.

    or you can look at it this way. the wind rushing pass its leaves produce a frequency(the frequncy we hear and identify as sounds are basically frequencies that the human ear can pick up) but to say that "human can pick up" cannot be true because creatures such as bats or moths pick up freqeuncies higher than us or lower. if we take it a step farther we can even justify computers as picking up sound. think of it. the frequencies picked up by your radio are really high frequencies you cant hear(cause they are amiplified) the radio recives them and convert the frequencies to a lower frequency we can hear.

    another point that needs to be made is that we are looking the world at a SINGLE PERSON/FIRST PERSON and not THIRD PERSON nor are we looking at it from time point 1 to time point 2. if we had a time machine, we would just simply go back in time and observe(if you were god then you could do that)

    so if you were god and you went back and oberseved it and it made a sound then
    tree makes a sound=true;
    then the tree makes a sound

    if

    tree makes a sound=false;
    then the tree doesnt make a sound

    proves that you people think like people.

    I'd definately say yes, because I'm all into science and physics and all. Or rather, you could say that it creates the vibrations we have labled as sound, but without anyone around to hear it, they go to waste, and so you could also say they do not make a sound.

    But the better (or at least more interesting) question is "If a tree falls on a mime, and no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
    "True kindness isn't something we're born with; it's something we have to work at. We have to mold it and shape it with ourselves. Not everyone has it, but I think everyone has the potential. Sometimes you just have to look really close before you can tell it's there." -- Kyoko Honda Fruits Basket

    yes, a tree does make a sound, this is because as people have said that sound is nothing more than a wave, however, in order for sound to happen-unlike light, the wave needs a medium to move across. Therefore, if a trees falls in a forest which is in a vacuum, then no it does not make a sound. Also, if every animal couldn't hear, then the tree would still make a sound because the sound has a medium to travel through, you can design a device that detects these waves. And thats it.

    ask god.

    god's skills

    all knowing>Precognition
    time travel>actually he doesnt need to but....
    god is everything
    telapathy>makes god seem 1337 cause he doesnt need to open his mouth to communicate
    all creation

    so the truth is it can be answerd. just not by humans(at our current knowledge).

    how to solve:

    -create time machine
    -or find and dna test a previous ansestors of the chicken(and hope the eggs are preserved).

    yes it can, i know someone who wrote a philosophy essay about that. Don't know the real content of her essay though but it was if your a creationist this came first or if you're a evolutionist this came first, yea i don't remember which is which.

    As for the question about the sound thing, "If the entire world ignore your existence, do you exist still?" If you know that answer then you know the answer about the sound thing.

    This is the most retarded thread I've read in awhile. It's a trick question not meant to be answered you idiot. This is worthy of the chat room, not debate.
