100 time out of 100 a super nova will not make a noise. what you hear is your ship being destoyed from the various forms of energy that hits you. remmeber sound doesnt travel thorugh a vaccum(space) but cause your ship has an artificial atmoshpere, you will only hear stuff that is withing the artificial atomoshpere.

you people watch to much tv and movies.

Anyways, the Chief and SK are right on this matter. Sound definitely does occur...... it doesnt matter whether anyone was there to witness it.
