Thread: A simple yet complex question....

but you know only half of us are actually using physics. the other half are thinking from thier point of view.

you know asteriods in space dont make any noises at all. neither does the cool fighters in starwars. there is no atmosphere for sound to travel. but what holds true is that sound frequencies are released(energy cannot be destroyed, for whatever hes called law of whatever). but you imagine them thier anyway. some startrek fans remmeber the noise darthvadars worldship made when it exploded right?

hope you got the first part. anyway, these frequencies will soon later be picked up by deepspace radar. even though it may be destorted it can be pin-pointed from one location.(gee, i wonder how radar and sonar works?)

well it's still gonna make a sound except no one will hear it cuz no one is there.

Logic would say yes but there is nobody there to be hear it. Thus, to the human ears we cant hear it. I think the answer is Yes and No.

A tree that falls in the woods, obviously makes a sound. The question itself is complex coz humans interpret sound usin our sense, thats how we know it exists. However, sound waves r still produced as a result of the fallen tree....
It brings us bck to those topics of how do u know something exists, if u arent there to hear, see or feel it. I'm not goin to get into that whole "does god exist" topic again. I'll leave it at that.

A sound is not limited to human perception, it's a real physical event which influences everything around it. So yes, it does produce sound. This "question" is perhaps too trivial.
