I've only been told to die, just for standing up to emo's. I suppose it all varies from what country you live in. In America I did notice a very change in people's attitude towards and they didn't really take note on what you wear and how it relates to your personality. Where as, here in England its the opposite. People do share their opinion openly and come up right in your face.

![]() Credits: 32,445 | Re: Stereotyped by style of clothing well ive never been into fashion. i just wear whats comfy. and band t shirts and anything with black or chains happens to be comfy. Why i'm automatically a vampire or emo kid is beyond me but you get the point. And in this day and age, no one really cares about feelings anymore. anyone who bullies others for how they dress simply wants to make their life matter,a nd apparently taking out all their pent up agression towards some one who isnt in with the popular style is immediately the target. that simply sickens me. why does one who wants to matter always have to do so in the most inappropriate of ways. and targeting people by their clothing?! that is simply a cry for attention. and a ridiculous one at that. and in response to the Sazzy post above me, all those kinds of people are bloody wankers, if i may take a page out of the British slang book.

![]() But I just wonder if Britain is really going down hill because of the children/youths are giving England a band reputation. When I was in high school, people didn't show how much they hated someone because of the way they dress. But now, which kids at high school, its a different story. I just can't believe the amount in differences there is just being a few years apart.

People don't usually seem to take in the feelings of people such as myself because they try to avoid me and they also try to stay positive because they believe I'm a "negative" and so on. I don't like it like that. I only speak when spoken to, and not many people understand that and use it against me on occasion.

(ok to some black is just a shade so I was only generalizing).I do notice how ever if you start looking a job, people tend to wear black and no one goes up to them and called me a goth or emo. So what is really wrong with wearing it? If its ok for work to say black with white then why is it that when we are casually dressed, people pick at others for wearing it??? It really doesn't make much sense if you look at it like that. Plus my old school uniform was black trousers, white shirt and a black jumper. The the same goes for my work uniform. If it was clothes like that it doesn't matter if you are wearing black but its not ok to wear back normally? It seems a little strange to me.

![]() ![]() Credits: 14,781 | Re: Stereotyped by style of clothing mm yes i am totally guilty of judging but who isn't? well even though i do judge i usually always want to get to know someone or see how they act around others before i make my final decisions and sometimes i dont even have to wait like a minute before they show their true self. then i stay away from em. if i dont like em. XD but yea for me im weird freshmen year of high school i dressed like all black or red or pink and red. and i alway had something anime on me. so everyone associated me with the anime people. but i was ok with that cept for some of the anime people cause i hate em. >.< but like this year i did 180 im like all colors mostly greens and i dont wear my anime stuff that much anymore. maybe once like every 2 weeks. lol. but yea i know after i changed my dressing over the summer i made more friends this year. so you can see just by changing the way i dress over the summer i have made more frineds because of it. but im still myself so only the cloths i wear has changed but not who i am. and that i think is the important thing. |

![]() ![]() Credits: 2,939 | Re: Stereotyped by style of clothing People believe that your clothing is who you are and what you want people to know about you. That's society. If you want someone to think your high class you wear what society has defined the clothing style to be accordingly. That's just the way it is now a days. It also depends on the area of which you reside. Some areas you can be a guy and put on a dress and walk down the street, say Hello to someone, and they'll think nothing of it. Other places the people would run and scream. The human world is a strange place to reside. |
