    Re: Suicide: acceptable or not?

Suicide is acceptable according to me. If they want to leave behind all their loved-ones and people who care about them it's all on them.

Most people who like to commit suicide are already done with confusions, sadness, grieve, hate and all the dark emotion, they don't really give a damn whether they should die or not.

Like Arukih said, it's their own life and their own decision. Nobody has the right to tell you if you can or cannot kill yourself. If you find that there's nothing left to live for... then so be it.

But they should know that there is always a sparkle of hope and people who actually DO care about them are at the times of darkness... unseen.

Suicide should only be for those with no other option or if living causes immense pain or dishonor.
Now, there are some that THINK they're all outta options, but they're probably just off their meds.
Everyone has had their suicidal thoughts, but in 95% of all cases, it's unnecessary to kill oneself. Just gotta keep moving on and making the world better for yourself, no matter what.

I would have to agree with TaurusDemon23. Except the Honor reason, a good example of this is some Arbic culture, just for example. Such as say a girl was paired with a guy, but she didn't want to be with him and instead wanted to with with some one else. Her parients got pissed because they were dishonored simply by that, giving her the choice of either killing her self, or they kill her which is called mercy killing in their culture. Thats just one example of thousands of ludircis reasons of honor suicide around the world. It's their culture yes, but It still doesnt make it right.

still, leaving everything on them is just plain selfish, if you ask me if you are willing to leave your freinds like that, then you deserve what you get.

    Re: Suicide: acceptable or not?

This discussion has been floating around for as long as I remember and I've taken part in it so many times that I'll only give you the short version this time (plus, it's 2AM).

Suicide is acceptable. Suicide is a solution. Suicide is not selfish.

I'm quite well aware that this will stir up some opposition, especially the last part, but just think about it for a while

In my books suicide isn't acceptable, by killings ones self what is being gained.

Once your gone peoples lives will change.

It might even set off a chain of events where people close to you might attempt suicide.

If people close to you start commiting suicide in result of
your own suicide, then doesnt that mean
    obviously they found your suicide
    acceptable, having commited it themselves?

And not everyone lives their lives to "gain".

Some people live out of selflessness.
    Some live out of selfishness.

    Many do both.

    Its all good.
    Yay-yea?
