Thread: Is there a certain age to determine when you are ready for marriage?

I say marriage depends on whether you are ready to handle the resposibilty for your family, as wel as able to take care of yourself. To support eachother, both emotionally and economically. That is what it means to be ready for marriage. To be able to support children, whether you plan on it or not, as accidents do happen. When you are ready to do all these things, you are ready for marriage.

well, some cultures or religions have age requirements when it comes to marriage... god, if i'm not mistaken in the traditional Hindu way of life a girl should be married to someone who is thrice her age.... I think the best time to marry is when you are ready - for commitment, responsibility and all... then maybe things would work out from there...

Well considering it is a very importan decision . One must take the time to decide. Sometimes it works out best if both decide if both are ready and not just one, because marriage is made from two people and not dependant on one. I guess it would be better to wait.

I think people should wait until they are already graduated and have something to fall back on. If things don't work out you have to able to keep going and most people don't aren't mature or responsible enough to get married until after 25. My opinion is that even though some people are ready at a young age and can handle a marriage and everything that comes with it, it's still a good idea to wait until you're at least 20.

I would say when you have money, so you can support your own family. Otherwise, you'll have to suffer alot while trying to support your wife and the little ones.

of course money is going to be a big part of getting married because i think you should both be able to support each other rather than one person livving off the other personal wages or something.
