Re: The true cause of evil
Hmm, what if I say that men are like, THE leading cause of corruption (and gingivitus) in women? Yes, that accusation is entirely sexist but also understandable. Women use to manipulate powerful men quite often way back in the day. Of course this still happens but it's entirely too taboo for this to happen on a wide scale.
I agree that humans are the source of all evil. We are actually, we pollute the Earth and act violently towards each other etc. however none of those are the reason. Humans are the source of all evil because humans exist and are intelligent beings.
We are the only things on the planet that can conceive anything as evil, so it's elementary my dear AO, that we are our own suffering.
That's kind of like putting on the condom but not finishing the job isn't it n.n
"I think the division of cultures, ethnicities, nationalities etc. is what's tearing the world apart. By further seperating people into colors and beleifs we allow misunderstandings and hatred to grow which leads to verbal arugments.. and of course bad words translates into physical confrontations."

Re: The true cause of evil
WAR is one evil and they cover up what there true ambitions are with its to protect are country
and the other evil is ME! i was walking in the (blank) with a friend once and he said do your usial thing and some old person called me the reancarnation of santon that was a a crack up (wunder wats gina happen wen i go to bali get pulled aside and get asked to hand over all my wepons) but i do belive humans are the root of evil, well most people there are some pure people. trust the smily :)
Re: The true cause of evil
I agree that having the world divided does lead to conflicting attitudes, but combining everything to be the same wont help either( non-conformist talking, not an anarchist) By having everything divided, we keep our individuality, but there are those awkward moments when two races or religion go at each others throats. Personally, religion to me is a waste of time, too many people died saying " the devil told me to" or" In the name of the heavenly father." hell religion led to the crusades which in turn killed almost as many people as the plaque, so what's the point to it all, all your doing is handing yourself to the teachings of something you believe is a higher power that thinks it can govern all creation, and your still thought of as wrong to most people. Sooooo, what's the point? Religion is a leading evil.
Re: The true cause of evil
i gave up on my religon a long time ago. alwell no use trying to figure out evil because if we dont change our everyday life to environmenta friendly half the land will be covered with water so there will be alot of evil after that watching how us humans act

generally, it's mankind's unquenchable desire is what i believe is the cause. if we all focus on the necessity in life, rather than unattainable desire. but then again, everything has purpose...even evil. click here. remember...evil is good.

I totally AGREE with you rematche! It is true that a man's desire causes some one to done that isn't right to someone.
Re: The true cause of evil
^_^ the cause of evil is sin. Both women and men partake in it, revel in it, and roll in it.
but Jesus came from God and a human together, and He is a pretty cool guy, so i think there's hope. . .
Re: The true cause of evil
Yay!
This reminds me of Hermann Hesse's Demian. It's relates to a Taoistic belief that God and Satan are one, since one cannot co exist without the other.
However, I look at it through more of a agnostic/Jewish text being that God created Lucifel as an adversary to keep humanity in check. Evil serving a purpose to say. If we had no challenges, how would we ever differentiate between right and right if there's no opposite?
