"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

My father disagrees strongly with this statement. He says that although they're are tastes, that things can be absolutely bad, and if someone likes them, they're wrong.

Take anime as an example. He feels that I am wrong whey I say it has great value. He says that anime is an absolute low quality thing. And there are many other areas in which he feels this way. Now he would say that there are some high quality things that people can differ on, but somethings are just 100% bad, so someone liking those things is just incorrect.

So, the big question is, do you think someone is right or wrong on matters of taste? Or do you think that no matter what a person enjoys, that's his opinion, and there is no "right or wrong" answer. Be sure to include why.

i think its not a questions of how you see things
its a questions on how you take it , example say
you get this really ugly painting something that hurt your
eyes well some would say your crazy for keeping it because
there no point in having something that dosnt go with how you
live.

but that's not true for somethings like love living life
how you want it if you take what you are handed in life
or if you have a gf that you think is really an amazing person
you let things be and don't try and change it.

changing it is where you make things wrong don't do things
just because jungle Jim Joe down the road thinks what you have
dosnt go with what he See's as good . ignore that in my opinion
and just take what you see that makes you happy don't let what
others say influence you.

What your father believes is only his opinion.

There isn't a right or wrong when it comes to taste (or anything for that matter). It's all based on opinions. For example, my mother believes that the rock music I listen to (rock music in general, actually) is nerverecking and not "music". That is only her opinion in which I respect. But does that mean I feel the same way, or should feel the same way? No! I absolutely love listening to rock music, and think that it's a great way for the singers to express themselves. Are all rock songs good? No! But that is just my opinion. The same goes for anything, anywhere. It is all based on the opinions of the people.

it's a trick question, it all depends on a persons point of view, what one person likes the next may not. then again that same person may like an object one day then hate it the next day.i love poetry, i love writing it and reading it. does that mean i lie it all of course not, it depends on my point of view, and my tastes.
