He disrupted an event with intention to cause trouble (not engage in intelligent debate), he then shouted, swore, resisted arrest and struggled with four or five officers. He gave a play-by-play of his situation in the loudest voice he possibly could, obviously playing up to the cameras he saw on him. While he was so "painfully" tased for "doing nothing", he had the presense of mind to shout "OW! OW! OW! They're tasing me! OW! Stop!" etc. Honestly, it seems as though he was making as much of a fuss as he could with lousy acting all through something he brought upon himself. It's one thing to be politically active. It's another to be a gigantic billigerant moron in public.

I'm about as liberal as they come: but this kid was an asshat and deserved more than a tasing (he needs to be spanked by his mommy).

Tsu summed up my opinion in the final sentence. But I must add one more opinion to the mix: Bush is an Asshat as well, and I completely agree with the kid who got tased.

This is no different then the incident at UCLA, except this kid probably deserved it more. Almost the same incident, except that the student UCLA just didn't have his student id during the library's after hours which is against school policy/safety. You guys can find that video on youtube.

The kid looked like he deserved it he should have just shut his mouth and left.But no he had to carry on like a fool.Plus it looked more like he played the cameras then any thing else.I actually laughed when i watched the vids he was just doing it for the 15 seconds of fame.

Yeah, I'm a huge liberal too, and it's no surprise that I do kinda agree with the kid.

But, he went on about it the wrong way. Personally, I think that the guywanted to be reprimanded in some way so he could show how "corrupt" the police force is.

The funny thing is, as I was watching the daily show yesterday night, is that no one else cared about it and tried to help him out. It's a good sign that our generation is doing better than those assholes of the 60s protesting for every stupid cause, not including the Vietnam war.

Agreed. It's cool to have your own political views, it's great to want to voice your opinion; but when you're bein' a prick about it, you kinda have what's comin' to ya. A big, fat, painful tazer. LOL.

I don't go to debates and political conferences with the intent to cause trouble--in fact, I don't go anywhere and behave that way. If I disagree, I either say something in a tactful manner, or I don't say anything at all. If I were to show up to my city's council meeting and started bitching and whining about our new arena that's in the process of being built, and started swearing and throwin' a fit, I'd probably get shot--let alone tazed.

It's pure karma, my friend. The energy you put forth is the energy you receive.

I agree with most of you. He got what he deserves but I just wonder would things have been any different if he had acted appropriate. I mean would John Kerry have acknowledged his questions or would he have just ignoring him.

I know Hillary Clinton has done that in the past. In one of her conferences a student appropriately asked her a question about her past and the student was ignore and soon after she was escorted out of the conference.

All i can say about the dude is that, he got owned by the 5 cops! It took 5 police officers to take him outside that's a shame to the police force man. What's funny though, John Kerry was shouting "let me answer his question" while the dude was being tased by the cops.
