I have heard on television, and that is unreliable, that an actual draft of the bill was made. That is at least some step in the right direction. It of course will be ripped apart before it is passed but hey what can you do?
Health Care is cerntainly a popular issue floating around, I really dont know the best way to go about doing a 'universal' type of health care though while the whole economy is kinda underwater.
Maybe after this economic crisis is over the senate and congress could move a vote toward such a thing

Yes it passed the House, but just by the skin of its teeth, so there is a good chance that it will be stoped at the Senate.
Also, found out most of the added burocratic junk was basikly bribes for those Blue Dog Democrats who were against this nonsense. It could be traced simply by looking at which districts get what and those incharge of the districts.
