    Re: What is maturity?

It's kinda obvious what maturity is, but it's hard to say when is someone mature.
Maturity depends on age, their life experiances and their personality, so many different things relate to maturity, even the most "mature" person could do a really immature thing? does that mean that they are now immature?

I'm not sure what's maturity. I don't even think I'm mature, but everyone says I'm mature for my age. So I need to know myself

BWAHAHAAHAHAHAH. Maturity isn't about respect. I know alot of people who are assholes who are very responsible for everything they do in life.

That is why it requires both. Being an asshole isn't very mature.

    Re: What is maturity?

In my opinion Maturity is knowing that there is a time and place for everything and also taking responsibility which many people don't do i find myself to be a very mature person being in the college that I'm in. which in itself leaves me surrounded by immature morons. I think that when you step up for something and know when to show your intelligence and when to just be cool is showing maturity

Maturity can be categorized in many ways it could be how smart you are how talented you are or just overall life experiences. so its tough to exactly say what maturity is. many people say that if you criticizes someone then your immature...

For example if a guy was to say he doesn't like gays then people label him as being a "Immature" jerk why people say these things i don't know but immaturity is sometimes collaborated with "Words"...

    Re: What is maturity?

Well, I feel that the way most people think of maturity is a lot like my view on wisdom. You can't really say you are wise and have anyone take you seriously. It’s just one of those things that others label you as and is not self proclaimed.

When I think of maturity I end up going to the root of the word itself. Someone matures as they grow, isn't that the basic meaning of the word? If you think of it this way then no one is "mature". People can be more mature than others, but that is only in their thoughts and actions. So someone can be in the state of acting "mature", but the next minute they can be acting "immature". Do you understand what I’m trying to get at? If someone was to be called mature by many other people, they only know that by what that person says and does. These can be called mature actions, but I feel that the people labeled as mature are just the ones who can act that way for the longest period of time before doing something "childish" as you say.

I really hope that made a least a little sense. :/

    Re: What is maturity?

Maturity is the ability to do what is right even though it may not always be what a person wants to do. This invloves taking on the responsibilities that life hands us and giving these or all no matter what the cost to ourselves. This is maturity in the mental sense. Maturity in the emotional sense is the ability to control ones emotions and knowing when to express those emotions at the right time without going crazy or being only driven by them. And everyone knows what maturity in the physical sense means...

Our love will go on until the end of time. I will always be yours and you will be mine.

    Re: What is maturity?

What you just posted isn't really Maturity its more along the lines of Responsibility more or less. When your doing something right when you don't want to that means that since you don't want to do it. you haven't quite grasped the concept of maturity and are on the road of maturity
