please do not mix popularity with mature... as i know we do not need to be popular to be mature/wise.

Who was that post aimed towards me or the girl that said all that other stuff. just so im clear on the situation at hand because i don't think that my views on maturity are flawed in fact i think that they fit the picture very well.

If that was the case then everone under the age of 50 + would be concidered imature and unable to hold a marriage, a house, etc. I suppose its a little stereotypical. But anyway..appearence shouldn't reflect how mature you are. If i was concidered mature by the age of 21 then as you say i would need to have a beard and a moustache. To which i would not be very happy having them as i am female.

So really that theory only applies in stories in my opinion because you don't have to be old to be mature. you can get very mature young teenages today who although are still young they can be very supprise in the mature aspect.

Hehhee, nice way of interpreting the word "maturity". Well, i think maturity is when you are finally able to analize, think outside the box, and make important key decisions that will have either negative or positive effects in your life later on. I think that there is a level of maturity in everyone of us. The more years you live, the more experience you obtain. Thus, your maturity level increases.

I think maturity is simply when you finally understand, that you are not the small and innocent kid you were anymore and that it is time for you to go forward to a world in which it is not always easy to live in.

1. hair starts to grow in the armpits and there
2. you realize its not good to pee in on the bed
3. you start towera long pants because the legs getting too hairy
4. you start getting attracted to the opposite sex
5. swear works comes out more often
6. you start to collect pornography mags
7. you start to masturbate
8. you hate to study and hang out more often
9. money is the all important
10. all these craps don't mean nothin

My aspect of it, is that many people consider themselves mature in many regards, however i see that many ppl think that doin the right thing is being mature and to me this is couldn't be further from the truth. Also many ppl say that i am very mature for my consider age. Also many ppl consider themselves as being mature, but thinking that you are mature proof proves that you are immature. Cause when i reflect when i was younger i believed that i was very mature, but now that i look back on it, i see how immature i really was.

Anyway, what is your opinion on being mature? Do you become more mature with age or is it like a skill that need to be developed?

It's more complex than i believe. I think the maturity is the pruddency when you need it. It's the sensibility to talk with your wife (or girlfriend/boyfriend) when both have trouble. It's, mmm, one mental status, not depending of age, when we have the hability to make the really and good difference between good and evil or bad questions about us. Also is the hability to tale a good choice, again, not depends of our age. A kid could be more maturity than an adult. Of course on mental status talking. Biological the maturity it's another different thing.
Thats i think about. Again, it's more complex than i believe.
