Newbie | what's the point of school we go to school everyday and we don't get anything out of it.most of us try to get out of going to class by sitting in the office or pretending to be sick.the teachers are boring.some of us drop out.the only thing we can look forward to is coming home and being able to watch tv |

I don’t really know how to put it more simply than that. I really don’t see what is so bad about school. Of course every school has its issues but they definitely benefit us all. If not for school providing our education, not many of us would be nearly as knowledgeable as we are now. Honestly, I don't see why you even need to question this.

If the majority of a population is illiterate, then movies, books, TV shows, video games, and yes, even anime, could never be scripted, or written. That means no Dr. Seuss, Harry Potter, Spiderman, Star Wars, Halo, or Lord of the Rings. You say you don't get anything out of it... Whuuuaat? I understand hating math and PE, but like your teachers probably say, we use math every day, and hopefully you employ some reading and writing skills every day —even if it's text messaging it's still writing—, comprehension skills... well, it seems that alarge majority of the youth don't use that, but— science is used every day —space shuttle, satelites, surgery— et cetera... If you really hate school that much, then you really, really, really must hate being in any sort of working society. No school, no advances in knowledge. No advances in knowledge, no advances in technology. It's practically living in the Dark Ages, for crying out loud...

You will not learn anything of value in High School, except for some math. Those strange things like calculating volumes will be handy trust me. And you learn to speak and write with style. There are a lot of hard language stuff that you can't read if you haven't gone to college. Like contracts. Of course going to college won't guarantee success. And a lot of high School drop outs are millionaires, and someone with a Masters degree from college might end up working for an idiot that never even finished high School. But the chances of success are 10 times higher if you have an education. The chances of getting even an construction Job is higher if you have gone to High School. A high school drop out might not even get the job. |

Good luck trying to get a job when you can't read, or know basics maths or even basic communication skills. Once your out of school for a few years, that's when it hits. You'll be wishing you'll be back in High School because of how easy it is compared to the rest of your life and all the worries that comes with being out of school XD but of course the up side is that you are now an 'adult' with freedom

Now school can be very tuff, like my self, It was very difficult for me and didnt do well grade wise no matter how hard I worked my ass off. I hated going and doing school work. How ever, I got so much out of it and despite my poor grades, my teachers were shocked how much I knew but just couldnt put to paper. Just the way my brain works. But for those who ditch school, well they are only hurting them selves even though Im sure the magority of them could have made something of them selves. I have known people who have ditch school constantly and see them working at Mc Donalds or some other low end job. Its because of how hard I work despite my low grades in school that I landed a job at General Atomics where I help build the UAVs (Predator Drones for the Gov) because I was highly skilled with mechanical drafting as that was the only thing in school I was really good in. And now I have full benefits and get paid almost 20 bucks an hour. I'd like to thank all my teachers for getting me here to where I am today. ![]() |

Do you think people just get their jobs by simply applying?? Hellz no, they don't! They--just like myself--had to go to school, study and learn a trade. If you have no education, you can say goodbye to having a good job and hello to whoever's pulling up to the drive thru window. Judging by your grammar, you're either too young to understand the importance of school, or you just haven't been applying yourself in school. You may think that school is un-neccessary now, but trust me, you'll catch on to what I'm saying. Let's just hope it's not too late. ![]() | |
