Whats the Deal with the Mormon Religion?
Ive learned some interesting things about this religion. I hear they consider Black People second class citizens. When blacks get to heaven they don't have the same rights or status as the whites. So even in heaven they're 2nd class citizens.
Also they believe in polygamy. Which now they claim they don't, as well as the racist thing. In other words they say they changed, Which i don't believe, when all this stuff is still written in their version of the bible.
I was shocked when i heard this, i always though they were so religious and godly, and none of this sounds godly to me at all.
So are the Mormons a bunch of racist polygamists?

Well, i think that they misinterpret the Bible or they just made up a f&&ed up version of the Bible. Polygamy was ok back in the days of Salomon, heck the guy had tons of wives all over Jerusalem. I believe that's their reason to believe and practice polygamy, though i may be mistaken since i only have heard those facts about them from people that have been involved in one way or another with Mormons.

I'm not a Catholic...I'm a Muslim and i don't believe that either...How would they know that the Black people would be treated as second class in heaven?
I mean com'on they're lots of different religions with different beliefs...and all should respect others along with their beliefs...
And you're right this doesn't sound Godly at all.
Well...It does completely sound as if they're a bunch of racist polygamists but If they believe that...Let them...I don't consider this as a war type that we should argue about,
Plus I respect all religions so ....i...dunno..... -.-

Sounds like that violates the 7th commandment to me? You know dont commit adultery.

Actually Mormons are a separate religion, there not catholics. Were(Catholics) strongly against polygamy.

Well, yes it does. I guess the Bible contradicts itself most of the time. See, the 10th commandments were handed down by God to Moses to teach the Israelis the law of God, but yet still some of the greatest Kings of Jerusalem still practiced polygamy.

Most Mormans are not polygamists, but some people are. The Jesus Christ Church of Later Day Saints has rulled out polygamey, but some people have made there own churchs because they beilieve in polygamey. I've never heard about them thinking black people are second-class citizens in heaven.

I always knew about the polygamy. But not the whole racial thing.
I used to live in a predominately black neighborhood..., The Mormons would go up and down the streets recruiting (for lack of a better term). Im sure that wouldn't have gone so well had they been walking up to people saying "Would you like to be a second class citizen in the promised land?, You'd be walking...almost most next to God.. y'know... after white people..."
Polygamy almost makes sense to me... Not that Id be down to be a second or third wife, but I feel monogamy is a tad unrealistic. Provided most people cheat or divorce or both. Perhaps it is marriage that is unrealistic.
But yeah... I used to invite the Mormons over so they could convert me. (God, I was bored). They were very helpful... They brought me milk and toilet paper when I ran out. And I listened, mostly so I could question them and debate.. but I listened. Then they wanted me to switch my tea (saying consuming what was in mine was against God's will)... Thats when it all fell apart. No one messes with my tea!
