    Re: What's With God?

I think that in order to even debate this, you first have to define "God" and whether "God" goes past Christianity; for example, when you say "God", do you just mean the Christian God or are you referring to whichever God(s) and/or Goddess(es) any person may believe in? You also have to decide whether or not this/these God(s) and/or Goddess(es) are the same being(s).
Basically, I'm asking if this debate is a debate for just Christians, in which case I'm out of luck.

Just a question but, what religion are you considered if you believe in multiple Gods, such as Zeus, Hades, and Athena? And is it different religions based on the names you give them, such as Greek or Latin names.

One man's mythology is one man's fiction, that's what I always say. Discussions like these are hard cause everyone has their own perception on this subject, to the point that other views are considered blasphemous in a way or three.

I think people need to quit blaming fictional characters for their problems and everything else for that matter.

Shit just happens. One of the inalienable rules of this life.

The only thing I know is That took very good care of my mom while she was here, get her things that she couldn't afford herself.
but the time will come when God will not in charge no more.
    Check This--

If your here to talk about God, then the question's not whether you believe in him or not, but rather knowing where you stand with these things. God is your creator and you are his creation, you have no room to talk against him. God is the Alpha and Omega, all us humans know is what we've lived, compared to infinite time, thats a mere blink of an eye, what im getting to is that God has his ways, and his ways will be forever absoulute.

On the subject of different Gods, there are a numerous different religion and "Gods" but Im a man of numbers and the numbers say 'Muslims and Christians together make up well over half of the world’s population'

Muslims and Christians both have the same belief concept, with Jesus Christ being the Son of God, now add that with Catholic and you get what Im saying..

    Re: What's With God?

    like I said before:

You are pointless to talk to because you won't listen to reason. If you believe in God, which I'll assume is the Christian God, then you must understand a few 'facts' about God. He's perfect, all-knowing, and all-powerful. So powerful that if you were to try to talk to him physically, you'd be destroyed by his brilliance. (and it appears in some cases logic and reason don't apply to him on our level because we comprehend him fully).

You can talk to God through prayer, but of course you're so busy wallowing in self-pity that you don't actually care about talking to God, you just want a scapegoat. You act as though death is some horrible fate that shouldn't happen, yet somehow you believe in God. If you truly believe in him, then you also must believe in heaven, and surely you think your mother went to heaven and therefore you should know that she'll be basking in God's grace for all eternity; a state of being that most people agree is waay better than life here on Earth.

You're like one of my friends, he hates God and is a douche whenever you bring it up. You think just because life seems unfair that you can blame the perfect being you believe in on everything. If you're a believer in God, why don't you stop blaming your problems on him and embrace him and allow him to become of source of strength; know that even in hard times he's there for you and that praising him in life will lead you to heaven in death.; either that or just become a damn atheist and have existential angst like the rest of us.

    Re: What's With God?

As much as I am sorry for your loss, I have to say: You aren't the first to go down this road.

Many times in my life have I run into atheists (or even satanists) who just hated God or stopped believing in God because their grandma or grandpa or mother died.

Their argument is always "they were a good person, why should they be taken away?"

Let me put this into perspective: You're not fighting for your mother or the rights of humans: You're fighting for yourself.
It's pretty damn selfish to want your mother still alive. It's a selfish feeling, no matter how heart-felt it is.
What if your mother was okay with leaving this physical life? Why should she stay just because of you? Why in the hell should people have to stay in this world?
Should everyone stay in an imperfect world?

That's like asking for diseases to be incurable, or for parasites to be immortal. We humans use up enough resources just to exist a single day, allowing us to be immortal would be the stupidest thing to do... we'd swallow up all the resources out there. First it would be out of necessity, but it grows into selfishness and gluttony.

But no... you want God to go away and let us be. So that everything would depend on us instead of "his grubby hands getting in the way": Funny thing is, it already is like that.

( And if God wasn't responsible? If God is non-existent? Who would you blame at this point? Maybe with no one to blame, you'd realize how selfish you sound right now. )

What you're asking is for God to leave you alone. You want God to turn around and stop being responsible for the human race.

The funniest of all things is: We humans are responsible for everything that happens here.

God gave us the ability to choose for ourselves, the idea of fate could have either been made up by us to blame or praise God - or an extremely intricate plan that's beyond our comprehension (it can be accepted, but hardly ever understood... look at Einstein).
Nevertheless, we are able to choose for ourselves.
If you don't believe that: Then don't: But realize if you really believe that you can't choose for yourself, then God is making you complain about all this right now.

When a disaster happens, people wonder where the hell was God when it happened...
When a murderer kills a kind family, people wonder why God didn't protect them...
When a whole community is destroyed by the elements, they wonder why God would do such a thing...

Simple Christian beliefs would have us believe that God is standing next to all of us, or inside all of our hearts... yet its even simpler than that: God is everything.
...if you study several religions and controversial beliefs, they all seem to say the same thing: God is everywhere in the sense that He is everything.
...this belief then encourages lots of people to foolishly believe everything they do is right, or that they could become a god. Blah blah blah. Don't listen to them, their logic is a bit off. Simply put: God was there, God is there, God will always be there.

    But was it God's fault?
    Hmmm...
    • Was it God's fault that a person drove a plane into a building because of their own confused beliefs that they wished to believe no matter what anyone told them?
    • Was it God's fault that a father foolishly abused their child and did awful things to them that caused the child to grow up scared?
    • Was it God's fault that the children in a playground treated a child cruelly because they wanted to look cool?
    • Was it God's fault that the abused child that was never comforted by others who could have easily done so - decided the best way to remedy their pains was to murder people?
    • Was it God's fault that people stupidly decided to place a town near an area known for avalanches just because they thought "it's pretty"?
    • Was it God's fault that a man chose his diet and lifestyle and never cared to bother looking up facts that would have told him that his lifespan would be cut short?
    • Was it God's fault that a woman ran over a child just because she really wanted to put on make-up while driving?

You can blame God all you want, but fact is: It's every person's damn fault.
And if you want to get technical: Blame God all you want, but since you yourself are a "piece" of God, it's your damn fault too.

Now here's the thing: You can get depressed over the knowledge that its all our faults, or you can do what many of us have done: Wake up, see the world in a whole new light. Realize that death is the ultimate rest and be glad that the dying are no longer in pain and are now free from the stresses of this physical world. Do what you can in this world and enjoy its restrictions as a new form of freedom, much like that of a game or a well-structured lifestyle that can be debated. Live your life and don't care whether or not you're being watched by a higher being, and CHOOSE to do what's right because it can only help everyone in the long run. Be thankful every day that you're still alive in this restricted box of a life because you know that even in these shackles there is endless possibilities. Respect others, respect yourself, in turn you will understand what respect truly means. Love all things, and even find beauty in the hellish creations we've made, for all things are wonderful - it is the blind and confused reasons behind them that makes them ugly. And most of all: Have fun.

One can be sad that their loved one is gone... but one cannot blame anyone unless they proceed to blame everyone - most importantly: blame themselves.

A human isn't as weak as you think it is. We're responsible for a lot more than you think. We're not weaklings, victims, or playthings. Your limited knowledge of who or what God is, makes God look like a bully - or an idiot. Who knows: You may be talking to a real god, but not the God you think it is.

Tell you what, you want to see where humans fall into place in all this?
Try this: Stop reading the Bible, stop praying, stop going to church, stop listening to preachings and sermons.

Let the actions of others and yourself be your own judge and jury.
Let the influence of others and your accidents be your teachers.
If you wish to speak to God, speak to God any time without closing your eyes.
Let your life be your preachings to others.

After a few years, try going back to the Bible and church and things... you'll realize there's a big difference.

    Re: What's With God?

Life is full of pain and misery but focusing on the negatives will only make more, setting your mind into a positive state is the best way to understand things and move past the hurt. Your mom died but don't you remember the good that she spoke to you that makes you sad shes not there? If not for her do it for yourself to become what she wanted you to be man.

Everyone has a mother and eventually they die, I don't want my mother to die because I'd probably cry a lot and be sad for a while but I would remember what my mother told me to do and with that strength anything is possible.

    THE RULES!

I'm on my grind in search to find whats on my mind, its one of a kind!
