Riiiiight... And how would you know this, hm?

You have no right to talk about any paths to heaven. How do you know that dying and going to heaven isn't the same as being whisked away to heaven during "the rapture"? You don't. You're obviously not dead and said rapture hasn't happened yet. You're view of the Christian religion are so askew that you really shouldn't have any say in how Christ does his thing or how heaven works! Satan worshipers would probably read your comments and go, "WTF???" That's how messed up your view on Christianity is. Why don't you do us all a favor, read a bible, do some research, talk to a priest. Then let's see how your views on God/Christ are concerning death and being "raptured".

Have you read any of the 'Left Behind' Books? I have (at least half of them). From what I've read from 'Left Behind' and the book of 'Revelations', death and being "raptured" are all one and the same. Either way, you're no longer a part of this earth, you're body no longer exists and you're in heaven with the other souls who've left before us. There's no segregation in heaven, I'm assuming, so why would dying and going to heaven be any worse than being snatched from earth and going to heaven?

    Re: What's With God?

I haven't posted enough however I'm going to comment on the Rapture and the Book of Revelation.

The Rapture is a new age theory that has never been taught prior to the 1800's. Not many denominations agree on the theory nor do they think it's scriptual. The reason for this is because many theologians and historians believe the Book of Revelation where many believe is talking about the Rapture.

However the Book of Revelation is speaking about the opposite. It's talking about the past not the future. The author John (which could be a different John versus John the Baptist) wrote the Book of Revelation as a letter to Early Christians living in the Asian Minor to not give up hope in the face of persecution. To not give up on their faith, even as they're being thrown to lions, killed, etc. To have hope that one day all the people who are persecuted will change their mind and will believe.

The different monsters shown in Revelation each correspond to an ancient civilization that once conquered the land of Judea which is now know as Israel. This ranges from Babylon all the way to Rome. What furthers this is the mention of the Mark of the Beast: 666. The number is not referring to Satan but to one Caesar Nero. who's name according to Jewish Numberology equals to 666. (His name being Cesare Neron.)

The Left Behind books and the idea of the Rapture are just fiction. If you dig into the Bible deep enough you'll see that there is more to the story than reading it at face value and taking it as literal meaning.

    That didn't make sense, dude.
I'm sure there are plenty who want loved ones back, but I'm sure they don't complain to some fictional character about their all-to-real situations. Well, most of them anyways.

To blame the loss of a loved one on a "god" or other influential fictional character is irresponsible at best, absolutely batshit crazy at worst. Blame the direct circumstances for the loss of your loved one.

Word to the wise: If your god doesn't reply to your complaint within 1-7 business days, assume that he doesn't have a complaint box.

    Umm... What???

People lose loved ones on a daily basis. Over 150,000 people die every day! That's a LOT of people. Yes, it hurts when we lose a loved one. I've lost a couple relatives and some close friends--it hurt like hell. Do I complain to God about it? NO! I simply accept the fact that we're all born to die at some point in life. If it's your time to go, it's your time to go and there's nothin' you can do about that. You can't control it, doctors can only extend your life by so much and even if you worked out every day and ate healthy; you will die.

And, yes, some people do say things like, "God no! Why has this happened?" or, "God, don't take them from me," but eventually they get over it, recover from their loss and go on about their lives. I know a lady who's entire family was brutally murdered and, despite the fact that it was a very F'ed up thing for anyone to experience, she didn't blame god, she didn't complain. She grew stronger, learned to deal with the grief and lives a pretty normal life. She doesn't hold resentment against God, she doesn't have a problem with sharing her story with others, she doesn't whine about how people shouldn't die. She just lives life by life's terms.

You tell me that God owes her a debt. Go ahead and say some kind of psycho-babble about doctors and automail/replacement parts. She doesn't. You lost one person, she lost her entire family in one night. I think that if she can cope, so can you.
