![]() ![]() Credits: 7,215 | Who For President I don’t know if this is the right place for this or not, though it seams to be. So if it isn’t, I am sorry, mod’s just move it please to the right place. Anyways, here it is, who are you supporting for president, why, if you are unsure, ask questions and people try to answer them. We can talk about all of the candidates views, and plans, and everything, but there will be no bashing or rudeness. If you don’t like a candidate, say why, but do not demean them; or anyone who supports them. This is an open debate and discussion, questions, answers, and statements are all allowed.

I am to the point it really doesn't matter, they all are lying to us to get elected and then they won't do crap to really improve America. We need reform in this country but lack the "leaders" to do it. Such a sad state of being we have become.

![]() Diamond in the Rough | Re: Who For President There really isn't a candidate that i can accurately vouch for or completely agree with. Despite the fact i am a woman i don't know if the U.S. is quite ready for a female president. Likewise, and i am not a racist person by the way, is the US really read for an African American to be president? Those are just some of my opinions, but i really can't choose someone.

![]() ![]() God of Destruction | Re: Who For President I myself, don't go for anyone either. The main reason is why is simply because I'm a minor and I try not to put myself in wordly affairs when I'm a not a U.S. "citizen" myself. Another reason, though I'm not entirely sure if it has to do with presidential ways or not, is that my My father favors the democrat party and my mother favors the Republican party, though she changes sometimes based on people. Therefore I can't openly make a good decsion. I honestly don't like the way things are going nowadays, but I'll leave it at that. It's mainly because I dislike war that my anger goes towards our current president, but I don't have much of a grudge otherwise. I hope that somehow that suffices for an answer.

![]() ![]() Credits: 873 | Re: Who For President Not to add fuel to the fire but theres no one candidate I fell is ready or even capable of leadership. I beleve every candidate hasen't the mentale strength to handle a single term in the white house. I even hear people say they think Hillery Clinton has a history in the white house but first lady means nothing to me. A president to me has to be willing to ack fast and not bull there way though office. Acking like you know what your doing is point less when in the white house and we don't need that.

![]() ![]() ![]() Credits: 125,184 | Re: Who For President I swear that we had this discussion before. LOL. ^_^ I would say Ralph Nader, but he never gets anywhere close to winning any kind of election... Go Green Party, LOL. Well, I'm gonna stick with Barack Obama for now. I like his personality; he seems like a real "people person". He's always enthusiastic about talking to the public and letting them know his plan of action for this country. He's passionate about running for president, and he's all about solving our problems first before handling the problems of other countries. I was kinda stuck between him and Hilary Clinton for a long time, but I made my desicion right around the time my "Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama" thread went dead here on AO. Obama may not have the most experience points when it comes to politics, but I DO believe that he knows what he's talking about. Unlike Rudy Gullianni--who's only been a mayor. Yeah, yeah, yeah, "New York is like a small country!" But he was still only nothing more than a mayor. That's like being the head of the household, and that really doesn't add up to much. No one should jump from mayor to president. It's not good for the country. Hilary Clinton... She's boring. I've watched her on CSPAN a few times, and she doesn't seem like she's excited about running. Were I running for presidency, I'd be just as enthusiastic as Barack is. Maybe that's just because any black man who ran for pres would be excited, I guess. (Just my own little crazy theory) |

Who's to say that a man doesn't need a woman. I mean look at Franklin D Roosevelt, he had Eleanor and she was very intelligent and has help him in many situations. Eleanor Roosevelt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Sorry I took an offense to that one ![]()

![]() ![]() Credits: 7,215 | Re: Who For President Ok then, well, I guess it’s time for me to give my answer. I am voting for Hilary Clinton. I am not any party, I go for who I think is best. Seeing as I went against Bush both elections, I think that my belief in who is best, or at least who isn’t is pretty good. Someone stated that women don’t fight for what they believe in any more. Well, maybe not as many, I don’t know, but I do know this. She has been fighting for all of her plans and beliefs for what she believes should come about, mainly universal health care, ever since she proposed it when her husband was president. It failed then because people were afraid of more government control, so she has modified her plan for it basically to be funded, and run to a point, by the government, but it will be essentially a non-government run program. Someone also stated that being first-women is nothing, well sure, if she does nothing, but look back on her history. She did a lot of political things back then, she made sure to show support for programs and non-profit organizations, and set up programs as well. Besides, she hasn’t just been the first-lady; she also has her own political background. Someone also stated that they wouldn’t vote for her because she wasn’t enthused enough or something like that. Yea, I’ll agree that being happy and looking like you want it is nice to see, but I don’t really care if you looked like you hated the idea of the job, or would hate it, as long as you plan on doing the job, and as far as her views, experience, and plans go, I find hers to be the most worthwhile and realistic. P.S. this has nothing to do with my vote, but I just like what she says, so here is the link to Anne Rice’s main page, the first statement/letter there is her personal endorsement for Hilary Clinton. Welcome to AnneRice.Com!

![]() ![]() Credits: 27,121 | Re: Who For President Quote:
You should be angry at all those presidential candidates that are senators and GASP voted for the war (the president has no power to declare war, it was approved by congress...and it was…and of which most of the front running democrats & republicans voted "Yea" to...only Obama didn’t vote “Yea” and that was because he wasn’t a US senator at the time )Proof: Iraq War Senate Vote Breakdown Now you can argue that the Senate didn’t have access to all the information the president had and thus the president purposely mislead the US people. BULL CRAP! The SAME information was provided by the CIA to the senate and they voted off the same premise the president had. So if you hear that load of crap from someone that said “Yea” to the war, then know that either they are: 1) Lying 2) Lazy and didn’t look at the actual information (do you really want a president like that?) or 3) Based on the information at hand when they voted they thought it was a good idea but don’t want to commit political suicide that being “for” the war is right now and thus back to # 1 they are lying. So don’t believe a lie and also know all the governmental spending in Iraq…also congress issued and approved… so don’t blame the president for that either. You can blame him for us still being over there but that and as far as if the war in Iraq is right or not that is a very different subject I won’t hi-jack this thread with. Now somewhat back on topic: PLEASE THINK ABOUT WHO YOU ARE GOING TO VOTE FOR! Please don’t just listen to the media, take a look at their voting habits as apposed to what they “SAY” they stand for. Look for someone with strong economical aspirations for the country, someone who is for the people and their welfare…and when you don’t find them…please try to find the closest thing to it…which at this point may not even be a human…I.E. the candidates we have running now, lol ![]()
