Why do most teenagers nowadays prefer to watch anime rather than news?

Then again, I watch news when they have the highlights of sports. Also, the headlines are good. Firstly, they mention all of the main stuff in a few minutes. Secondly, you get a gist of all the things that are happening around the world. Thirdly, it is good sometimes to be aware of the things that are going on.

the only news show that I watch is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
it's the only news show that doesn't bore me

There is only one thing that i watch soccer news, yeah when they were choosing the groups for Germany 2006 i was watching that while downloading shakugan no shana.......

Its because the news can depress the hell out of you and anime makes you feel good.

did u agree that anime can entertain us while news can make u feel annoyed??
my answer will be.. yes... its because i dont think news can easily entertain us..

the daily show with jon stewart is the only entertaining news out there...and kastelic4444, anime can depress the hell out of you too

Hehe...I agree with kastelic4444-sami. For me, news is boring as hell, even though, it is good to know what going on around your surroundings as Kedar said.

you're aware with your surrounding but you're not happy with those news.. there are news that quite interested but most of the news sucks..
