Perhaps it is the same with every generation. I didn't watch very much news when I was a teenager in the 1980s. A previous writer claims that news grows on a person as that person gets older. I believe this is true. I don't fault teens for avoiding the news. There will be time enough for the news later when they become adults and they start wondering how the government is spending their tax dollars. Fear not. There is time enough for anime and the news even if one is a hard working adult. I listen to news all day on the radio at work and then I watch anime almost every night. TV news is not so good because everyone involved in it is trying to be a celebrity. Radio news is faster and more accurate--except for NPR which is boring as hell.
