... I used to fight a lot, physically and mentally. Maybe because I was immatured.
Now, I don't for I have grown up and learned that I will get nothing out of it.

I dont even want to fight mentally for my believes, desires or goals. I give up. Simple as that.

We started there because of 9/11 right? There were 'weapons of mass destruction' (WoMD) and Osama Bin Ladin was there, War on Terror etc etc. But now, yeah, we're still fighting the 'War on Terror' but we went from Bin Laden to Saddam Hussein. We went from 'weapons of mass destruction' to trying to get the government to become somewhat like a democracy.

I'm all about helping other people, but, there are tons of other countries that need help (look at Rwanda, Somalia or Nigeria) - why are we so locked onto Iraq? And there are plenty of people who want justice for 9/11, yet Bin Laden is still out there sending video tapes. (Is the plan to have the new Iraq government to aide in the search for him or something?) And one of the things that riled people up for the war was hearing about those WoMD, yet N. Korea isn't exactly being quiet at all about their little nuclear toys and it feels like we're not worried about them at all... it's like we've done a 180 or something.

But basically, I just feel like we've lost sight of our first goal and we're in a mess right now.. in my government class, alot of people felt our government doesn't want to have to face the 'humiliation' of having to pull out without having a glorified 'win' somewhere.

It worries me that so many troops about going over there... and then quite a few people I know are training for the military as we speak. One of them had said, before he left "I don't mind fighting or dying for my country... I just want to do that for a good reason. Maybe we'll get one by the time I'm in."

Well government or someone else, please throw me a fully-informational bone sometime soon =.=

if we leave them alone, they will kill each other and act uncivilized.

that's why we're over there. why we're fighting the iraqies, i have no clue.

and neither does bush.

and that's sad.

but getting back on topic i think we fight becuase of our history we live on it
look at the revolutionary war and the civel war we were built on fighting
