Most people fear death. It is a natural thing to be afraid of, because we don't know exactly what will happen to us.

I'm less afraid than most people. I don't want to die any time soon, but I like to think that I would be ready for it if it came.

I agree that death is a natural part of life. But I can understand those who are afraid to die because they do not, in my opion, truly no what it means live.

I do not fear death because of the welcoming embrace it can have to a suffering soul or one that has lived a life of no holding regrets.

In answer to your first or second question, I can't remember... I do not find it odd at all for someone to fear death.

Of course it isn't wrong to fear death i always fear death, i wish i don't but i there nothing wrong with the fear of death.

Why would it be wrong or odd not to fear death some people have different view points on things. and some people can not be afaid of death and then be scared of it the next day or minute.

Fear of dentists is understandable. Those guys are creepy. Fear of new territory, yeah, I can understand that. We as humans fear what we do not know. But EVERYONE knows death, be it from comas, dying on the way to the ER and being revived (don't remember what those shockey thingys are called--DIFLIBULATOR??), or losing a loved one to death. We all know of it's exsistence and are aware that people DO die, when it's their due time.

With that being said, why should you fear something that is inevitalble?

afraid? no. there is no choice in the matter. to be born is to die. how you come to that death- whether honorable or not is how one defines life. since death is always never more than seconds away and can come suddenly or slow and painfully, what can you do - is make the best of it while its there.
the fear comes from what is on the other side, only the frame dies. that which powers the frame goes elsewhere. not a true death.
pain- mental or physical drives the want for death. unfortunately pain is the lash all of life dances to. again ya do the best with what ya got.

I think you just hit the nail on the head. It's good to see that there are others that view death the way I do. There is no point in fearing that which you have no control over. Now if you were immortal, I could understand the fear of death, because you'll never fully be able to know what death is. I could even understand WANTING to die under those circumstances.

But as mortal, finite beings, we have no choice but to accept death when it comes.

As I see it, like many others it seems, death is nothing to be afraid of. Even more so, some even long for it. Death is a natural, pre-determined (to some degree, we all die eventually) event. To fear death is somewhat like being afraid of sunsets

I myself don't really fear death. I'm not saying that I want to die anytime soon or anything but I don't fear it. I think its because I beleive in heaven and hope that I'm good enough for God to accept into it. The only person I can think of who didn't die is Enoch from the bible. It states he didn't die and was carried away into heaven by a firey chariot(I think thats the right name for the story).
