Wow! I've noticed the mod bashing a few days ago. Didn't think much of it. Then I pop in here today and this thread's THREE pages long!! Ridculous!

Astaroth, you sound like me when I was new here. I would get warnings, infractions and such; and I would wonder, "WTF did I do?" But later on down the line, you realize that it's your own fault for not paying attention to detail. So, I appreciate what the mods do here. Especially when it comes to closing threads that aren't so much in English, but the language was chewed up and spit out. LOL.
If there was a vote to decide who mods here, we'd probably have a mod within AO who's like the George Bush of forums. From what I've seen and heard--horray for word of mouth--mods are selected by experience, skill and conduct. Without having a good background in all three, you probably won't make mod candidate.

I personally have no beef with the mods. I did at one point in time--I got banned like three times in one month--but it was my fault for falling in to other user's traps. Letting myself be a part of internet drama; something the mods here are trying to prevent on a daily basis.

If it weren't for the actions of the mods here at AO, we'd have a bunch of useless threads with 50 character sentences or hollow opinions.

You are trippin', buddy. The mods don't have to answer to you, and your thread was probably as low quality as they come. That or it had something to do with another thread. Hell, there's even the possiblility that there are just too many anti-Bush threads lately. You can't get all pissy and whiny because your not tryin' to step outside the box, or follow the rules for that matter.

Well since my previous knowledge of such an incident you should:

1} Get Angry It was your thread!
2} Relax
3} Message the MOD who closed your thread and politely ask for a more in-depth explanation of why they decided that you thread needed to be closed.
4}If you fee like that MOD wasn't right, then forward your polite conversation to Dragon Ball and wait for a reply.
5} Be mad if the issue can not be resolved in the way you want, but understand they have the final word and it is their site.
6} Let it go and move on. Life isn't always fair, and thats just the way of life.
7}Live and Let Live! Take is from me....It will be alrite!

6.5} Vent your angry out on a different site, do something that makes you feel better, or talk to someone close to you and vent! Just vent your anger. Its never good to be angry for to long!

Well like atomik said. Your threads are probally not of good quality. You may think the Mods can be a complete ass when they close your thread but if you stop and think why they closed your thread or maybe just PM the mod that closed it and ask them why then i'm sure you will get a perfect answer.

Maybe you should do less thread starting and more posting as it seems to me that if they closed your threads the amount of times you say they did then you can't be a good thread starter.

I might add that you are very lucky that this thread has remained open for as long as it has done. Yes there are rules, but like out in the real world, they are there for reason. Please instead of creating harsh comments about the moderating staff, take time to READ, not skim through but sit there and READ the rules.

I've been on AO for a for a while and know that to start with you may feel like the staff are against you, but take time to realize, they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. You have no idea how it feels to do your best trying to make Anime Online safe for all users. Close threads where drama could start or where people will get insulted by others. It takes a lot of guts to sit there and act rationally about the situation and try to do it as swift as possible. So for me to sit here, and read about how members think we are not doing a good job really hits me where it hurts. I've tried my best to be a good mod as well as get to know members so they don't feel like that can't talk to us if there are situations where they have mistreated or hurt by a post within a thread.

Most people don't realize much bad mouthing we get for doing something that the member thinks is wrong. We have to enforce the rules or situations will happen where fights begin and then we get members spamming every single thread so in halts any member being able to hold a good discussion with other fellow members.

So please understand that we are here for a reason and that reason is to ensure the forums are kept safe and out of harms way. Yes we do have a lot of rules, so instead of complaining about them, read them and then maybe you will understand why and what we do.

Manga Artists - as for your views on what a moderator should be doing. Does that mean that you would rather have another member insult you so much that it starts to hurt deep down. Would you rather receive someone's anger and not have some one prevent it from happening? The reason for moderators are not just because we have the power to delete posts and edit them if need be. Its to help keep this forum viewable for all ages. This is an all age forum and we do have a wide range of aged members here, which is great because it add diversity. But no parents what their child to read something on a forum that openly talks about sexual intercourse or have publicly viewed fights.

So please, I ask you, as a moderator and as a member of AO, to respect the staff here. We really don't have to put up with bad mouthing what we do. But we still continue regardless because we all believe in AO.

lol Yah! I started this when I was mad and then I resolved my issue and posted my apology on this thread and I though that my thread would just vanish into the pile of old unwanted threads. For the past couple of days I've just seen post after post appear and I kinda feel bad I keep trying to explain to everyone that bashes the MODs that we need them. Its just like being mistreated from a cop for something stupid. You might hate them but you know how much you need them! Once again I apologize to the MODs for my thread lol

First of all when is the last time you read the rules here ? you do know they have changed since you were last on.Or have you ever read the rules ? If you have you would under stand were the mods are coming from and what rules you have broken.As long as you make meaningful posts and interesting topics that can hold a good conversation you will have no troubles with any one.Your wrong on saying that its like they don't want to hear peoples views, they do as long as it is meaningful and not totally pointless to it at the point of it being spam.

Its simple read the rules and there will be no problems .
