>.< makes no sense, but I tried. It was an old poem, so I changed the last few sections. I hope you guys like! Enjoy..
Beyond The Bounds
I'm willing to love again, breathe again, trust
but not make all that useless fuss...
Over pain that shouldn't be, making my heart the enemy.
I was hurt once before by a man so true, and that only brought heartache and eternal blues.
Discovering the light that I thought wouldn't come
gave me the hope to find someone.
Enduring love's coaster with its high ups and downs
made me become strong, smile, and frown.
Closing myself shut for no one to see what lurked behind the tough, yet fragile me..
Becoming what I thought would be smarter and free
opened the doors to reality.
It became lucid that I had succumbed to enclosure, afraid of any future exposure.
This doleful feeling that penetrated my soul
only exposed me to loneliness, sorrow, and cold.
Reaching the precipice of this dreadful state
gave me the feeling that I'd never find my true mate.
It became credible that I would face a long life of being alone..
But this was not something for which I should atone.
These intricate feelings, so ghastly; not nice
only made me fear for what would become of my life.
Dreading each day of my life was something that I
did not think I'd be capable of... even if I'd try.
Getting sick of the emotion, so dark and profound,
made me want to scream and beat him way into the ground.
But I realized then and there that this was not who I was.
Following this freshly-made path wouldn't work because
I am not one to sink into my own destruction,
purely because of one foul man's seduction.
So ripping down that fabric so determined to stay..
I walked out of his hands, no longer his prey.
This new feeling...so very enlightening and pleasant
reminded me of the joy from simple things - such as opening a present!
Years of roaming had passed, no weight on my shoulders...
As if running blind and barefoot on a beach; not crossing any boulders.
The joy of meeting new people, not afraid of their true selves
made me realize I had overcome the loneliness books feel, when sitting there on dust-filled shelves.
I'm so greatful for the happiness and confidence of what I have now found
just by living higher, and taking myself beyond the bounds.

Congratulations to White Wolf for winning POTM (February 07) with this great piece of work. Nice rhyming words and well thoughtout sentences.
Thank you DB! And bluefox! It was an old poem, which I had a written a while back. I fixed it up a bit to give it the characteristics it needed for the contest. Thank you!![]()
