I agree, movies are not always supposed to be acurate. If they left 300 alone and made it exactly as it was in history, then they all get slaughtered at the end. Personally I don't care for movies to end where the hero/heros get killed in the end. Although there are quite a few good movies where that occurs. Either way it would have been a good film.
well since '300' is based on the book that was written by frank miller, then yes i have herd it. i have read the story and it seems quite enjoyable, and the only worries i have about this movie is that it would not turn out like the other ancient movies *coff*TROY*coff*. the sad thing is that In May 2003, the project was being produced by Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton, whilst Michael B. Gordon had completed a second draft of 300 that was 121 pages long. In June 2004, director Zack Snyder was hired to helm the film. Snyder, with the help of screenwriter Kurt Johnstad, worked to rewrite Gordon's script for production.Frank Miller, the author of 300, was also attached to the project as executive producer and consultant. and because of this, the movie was delayed 4 years.
:)
The only reason why I want to watch it is mainly because of Frank Miller. I've read most of Sin City. I've read some of 300. I've seen Sin City and it was a great adaptation of Miller's graphic novels. Miller isn't going to allow a movie to be based off his work if he didn't have faith in the movie itself.
i have to agree with hell. his works of art are perfectly transformed into the big screen. the comics or sin city were amazing, with details about all the characters. and i just found out that the comic book was made from April of 1991 to June of 1992, under the title of Sin City, serialized in thirteen parts. i beleived that it was shown in seperate parts. and here is the revenue the movie picked up.
USA Opening Weekend $29,129,273 39.3%

wow huh?
:)
people...the 300 was made by frank miller who creates stories that are part fact and fiction. for an example sin city, mostly the characters and stories are fictional but they all protrayed factual events in a city.
