Thread: Battle Royale

We watched it together! It is my favorite movie right next to the original Nosferatu.

I used to love the movie and sort of still do like it, but the book is ten times better than the movie. I can't say anything about the Manga, Since I didn't read it, but the book is excellent. It tracks all the students and develops all of them.

The manga is quite good, but it does have graphic nudity and sexual content, so its not for the little kiddies, especially with the violence.

All in all, a disturbing piece of literature.

Does anyone know if the movie sequel was any good? I know it wasn't based off a book and the ending of the first movie didn't set up a sequel so I'm a little apprehensive about watching it.

Ih and does the book/manga have english translations?

Save your money when it comes to the sequel. It was not good at all. As for an english translation, here you go,

i loved the first movie and the book havent read the manga but the 2nd one just wasnt as good as it should have been

I saw the movie and am sort of on the fence with it. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I liked the characters and the action, but I felt like something was missing for some reason. *shrug* I bought, so I can't complain a whole lot! LOL!

I want to see the sequel, but I don't know... I don't think it will be as good as the first one... Maybe I'll like it and be pleasantly surprised.

I haven't read the manga, but I keep hearing on the forums and from friends that it's pretty rad... Nakey violence?! I'm there.
