    I love the film adaptation!!

Twilight for me is better than any of the Harry Potter adaptations. Twilight was was the first film i've seen that has stayed true to the book more closely. Admitedly, I am currently reading the last book in the series after watching the movie but I don't care. I love the books and I can't wait for the other movies.

I agree with the people who said Jaws. In fact, a lot of Spielberg movies based on books are great. Jurassic Park ROCKED. Also, there's There Will Be Blood (from Oil! by Upton Sinclair), Slumdog Millionaire (from Q&A by Vikas Swarup), and (hope this counts) Watchmen (from the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons).

Battle Royale and Dracula for me. I think those were some great movies and books.

You qould be a fool not to count Watchmen. And battle royale is one of my favorite movies.

Re: Best Film Adaptation of a Book.

Hmm... Well, I've never read a Harry Potter book, so those movies are out. LOL.

I can't just pick one, because there are too many good books that had movies based off of them. I'd have to say one would be Stephen King's 'It'. I was scared of clowns as a child because of that movie. 'The Green Mile' is another good Stephen King book/movie. James Patterson's 'Kiss the Girls' was really good in movie format as well. I wasn't much for 'Along Came a Spider' though. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as 'Kiss the Girls'. I wish they'd make a 'Cat and Mouse' movie! That is an awesome book! Another good movie based from a book would have to be 'The Ring'. I love that movie! I wish I could write well enough to have my work made in to a movie. T_T

I honestly don't ever count the quality of a film by how closely the film was to the book. It just...doesn't make sense.

So, of course, anyone that knows me knows I pick Watchmen.

What about The Frist or 1st Crow with brandon Lee even if it was based off of a comic book Graphic Novel that moive was a four star and it become a classic back in 1993.
and it is very to have a four star moive become a classic icon.
