Thread: The bloodiest movie you've seen

Hostel was probably the most bloody and gross type of movie I've ever seen.

The bloodiest films would undoubtedly be splatter films. A good example is Braindead (directed by Peter Jackson).

In the most iconic scene the main character fights a group of zombies with a lawnmower. Hilarity ensues...

Oh Braindead, I have yet to see that "sigh"

I have seen the previews and caps on it and it is on the list. I can't find it anywhere though, I have checked every movue rental and nothing, I may have to search the net, who knows.

Bloodiest movie huh? Eh, I don't care much for the gore without humour and or action. Probably 300, or Event Horizon. I want to throw out Evil Dead as well, but I didn't think it had a lot of blood.

Anyway, Braindead was released in the US under the title Dead Alive. That version is censored though.
If you just want to see the iconic lawnmower scene youtube or similar video sites are there for you. You'd be missing many classic scenes though.

Well, I never stated it didn't have any hehe. Army of Darkness wasn't too shabby, especially the pit. They are still instant classics and probably in the top 5 for favorites movies of all time. Oh true classics. I expected the lawnmower scene would be on youtube, but of course the quality and the rest of the movie I'd miss. I can't rightly go and do that now can I? It would go against my character.

Dead Alive though huh? Maybe that was the reason for not being able to find it...how I always fall short. I am heading straight to the store again in an hour.

I first saw Braindead when i was about...9 or 10 wit my sister who was only 3yrs older. I remember cringing @ this bit in the beginning where this woman is standing outside the "monkey's" cage and the "monkey thing" comes and chews on her elbow and she's screaming and stuff. Although it is a bloody film we couldnt stop laughing, especially at the zombies - the baby zombie inparticular is just so funny.
