One of the reasons why I am drawn toward the TW series more then RA is that RA is almost... child-ish in a way. Secondly because it feels like the first RA just redone with better graphics and different units. TW is continuation of the first and plays out like an actual story should and progresses which RA realy does not. Whats funny though is that if you look at the TW is that they actualy refure to the RA series as part of thier past as every RA game so far takes place before 1995 which is when Tiberium shows up on Earth and is the start of TW1... Unlike most gamers I actualy pay attention to the story line.

RA's "childishness" is why I like the series. I find it funny and even satirical. I think the new RA is stepping up quite a bit from RA 1&2, what with mechs they're adding in and whatnot. I don't care about story so much in C&C, I'm not a big fan of sci-fi in the first place, which is basically what TW is, an incredible sci-fi RTS.

I do fear they're going to overdo it too much in RA3. That B-movie feel only really works if the actors seem to take their roles seriously.

But still, all hail Tim Curry just like we all hailed Udo Kier in RA2.

C&C RA2 was the first RTS game I ever played in my life (As well as the first 15-rated game I ever played) and I will no doubt enjoy this one as well! Although I'm a bit puzzled by the fact that they have put a disturbingly large emphasis on naval combat. Oh, well. At least it works with windows xp!
