Thread: DBZ Movie... a HUGE disaster or a HUGE success

I would #like# this to turn out to be a great movie, but guessing by what's going around, It's not gonna be pretty...

Personally, I'm not sure how well they'll be able to transfer all the moves that made the Anime great to watch. I'll admit, technology is moving fast, but changing that kinda thing from an Anime to live action...

I just hope I'm proven wrong. I would love to see it turn out great. I kinda grew up watching Dragon Ball Z every morning whenever I could.

I think I'll just hold back on actually judging it until I see it, if it actually comes out.

when i first heard of this, i figgured it would be pretty lame. then i sound out a few more details, like the sizeable budget, andhoped for more. now, i find out that krillin isnt even in it, and i think its going to turn out to be lame again. i just hope its all a ruse, and theyre going to actually be vaey faithful. not very likely, but its a hope!

That movie will suck more than a prostitute on Broadway Avenue! I read a bit about it on IGN and I hear that it's supposed to take place while Goku's in high school.

Goku never even ATTENDED school--save martial arts training... Dojos count--yet, they're gonna butcher the story, just so it will appeal to teenagers/children. That's so friggin' retarded!! My close friend is pretty excited about it and every time he brings it up, I want to just tell him to save his money. I'm gonna wait to get it on bootleg and then I can talk trash about a movie I only paid three bucks to watch, LOL. Why support a studio who's gonna chop up a series as good as Dragon Ball??? (From what I hear it's gonna be called Dragon Ball, as in there will be no characters from DBZ)

I've been hearing about this movie for so long without seeing a commercial or seeing an advertisement that I'm starting to think that it's not even coming out.

The actual film itself is going to be called "Dragonball", and it won't be based at all on Dragon ball Z. Not to mention that this is an Adaptation, and as such, there were portions of the story changed to adapt it to live action film.

20th Century Fox has pushed back the studios' big screen Dragonball adaptation from August 15, 2008 to April 3, 2009.

hummm... *hesitates* gooooood.... or maybe bad....
Well... in a way it can be good... maybe they are improving something or they are going to "add" something I don't know... but besides anything I hope they don't destroy DB anymore as we know it.... Goku's story change is enough....
I hope is good news or bad news that are good news.... what a dilema!!!! lol
