    Dir en grey :]

    Any fans of?
    I've been listening since '99
so I am a completely dedicated fan.
It's hard for me to find other Dir en grey
fans out there so...make me happy ^.~

    my favorites by them are:
    Agitated Screams Of Maggots
    Kiri to Mayu
    and Wake...

    Re: Dir en grey :]

Dir En Grey is one of my favorite bands and I know how hard it is to find someone who is into them as much as you are, especially in the Midwest, where if most people hear something in a foreign language, their blood pressure rises. Even most of my friends don't seem to get it.

Anyways, Diru performs better than a lotta rock bands out there. Kyo with his versatile at an ungodly level voice, Kaoru and Die tearing shit up with their guitars(I'm big on guitar play in metal. Then again, who isn't?), and Toshiya(Bass) and Shinya(Drums) establishing beats that grounds the songs into the hardest bedrock.

Clever Sleazoid is one of my favorite songs, one of them I can understand the words to, and one of my "anthems", a song describing how I feel going through life.

Domestic ****er Family.......well, can't beat a song that says **** or ****ER a lot, can I?

Oddly enough, Jesus Christ R n R is one of my favorite Diru songs, cause to me it calls to all that punish themselves to cleanse humanity of it's sins. Plus it sounds hella good.

I was excited to see this!
Jesus Christ R n R is one of their best songs.
In my opinion. So I'm not surprised you like
it :] I like their older music best. I like all of
their music... but considering I started listening
to them while they were still considered a visual
kei band... it just sticks. y'know

    Re: Dir en grey :]

I got into Dir En Grey my freshman year of high school unfortunately. I wish i could have found out about them back in middle 99 like you, T3aKUp. I would have loved to listen to them as a child in elementary school. I'm weird like that but I'm happy I became a fan. I'm fond of all there songs and even showed up to their concert....i think it was 2006...07 when they came up and over by Jersey to play in New York. I feel kinda bad since I have a bunch of friends who are into Diru and we live in New Jersey, a place unlike the mid-west, since everyone i run into speaks more than one language. Although it isn't hard to find a person who speaks a different language, it was hard to find one who knew Diru and actually liked them Diru fans make me happy too!!^^ I love all the band members but Die and Kyo are my favorites. I can't help but fall for the lead singer with an awesome range of singing and the guitarist with bada** strumming skills!!
    My favorite songs are:
Obscure (the first song i heard from them^^ I fell in love when i heard Kyo singing)
Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tamerai ni Hohoemi (the guitar solo made me cry with joy and I've loved Die ever since)
The Pledge (when they came to New York, they played this song and I lost my voice singing along. God it was awesome to actually meet them. Die hugged me, I almost died of happiness)
    Kasumi
Child Prey (the video for this one made me smile)
    Ryoujoku No Ame
    Conceived Sorrows
    Yokan
    Cage
If you lost everything you had ever cared about so you could do something, would you do it even though the action would get rid of any chance you had of getting everything back?

Well I am more of what you consider a casual listener...I do admit Kyo's voice is lovely for this genre. But, ^^; they aren't my favorite...I prefer either Girugamesh or The GazzettE for VK bands...while Gackt and Hyde for solos. -cough- Anyone a fan of Gackt? Anyways my favorite songs from Diru are:

    The Final
    Doozing Green
    Kodou
    Ryoujuku no Ame

To be honest here it took me a while to like Diru...but once I stumbled upon Kodou XD it was like shabam instant love. And I've come to accept their style of videos which sometimes .___.; it can be quite disturbing.

    O_O SHOCK!
I'm awfully shocked to be seeing that I'm
NOT the only person in the world who listens to
diru. I live in a retarded bliss where I don't realize
    anything out side of my metaphorical bubble <.<;
    BUT ANYHOW
MiylleaAogiri... I am now FREAKISHLY jealous of
you. I've never hugged Die before ;_; and I plan
to marry him XD I love Die. But, I mean, I think
I started listening to them WAY too soon (too
young I should say) My mind has been corrupted
and I was thinking like a depressed, skitsophrantic
20 year old at the age of 10 T_T pretty strange.
Shizuka: I like the Gazette as well. I have an obsession
with their song "Guren". I haven't stopped listening to
it since they came out with it. And I also listen to
some Gackt. More of his older stuff (Jesus was somewhat
disappointing) and my friend was all skeptical about
diru at first too. She thought Kyo's voice was horrible
but now she's also a "casual listener". :] I think she liked
them all along and was just trying to be difficult with me.

Aww!!! ^///^ Don't be jealous!! I'm the same way! I love him and Kyo to death. I wouldn't go so far as marrying either of them, afraid of commitment, but it'd be nice to stay close, like friends or a really freaky obsessed fan!! ^^ And I listen to Gackt as well, some of my favorites from him are Redemption, Longing, Vanilla, Death Wish, and Mizerable. I Like Hyde too, but i think I prefer Miyavi over the too!! ^^
I have a couple of 'casual listener' friends too but a lot of my friends can't get enough of Diru since I introduced them. They won't stop thanking or reminding me that i was the one who got them hooked. ^^; Eh, it's what i do!! ^^
