Thread: does anyone like harry potter

Don't know if you people want to hear this or not, but I didn't enjoy the books or the films.

Compared to the authors I normally go for, I found J.K.R's writing a bit simplistic and not really captivating. I kept on waiting for something really exciting to happen in the first book; so you don't want to put the book down; but it just didn't happen. It just seemed a bit obvious, like I knew what was going to happen before it did.

As for the films, I found the first the first one quite boring, apart from the quiddich (sp?) and fell asleep during the second film. Haven't seen the others.

It is a good and original idea, but like a lot of other fantasy titles (Eragon for example) that are too obvious and unsurprising!

Daniel Ratclife I think? Amazingly enough, people do mature over time. Just like cheese

What's actually happened is that he's played a character on a stage production (theatre) and in one of the scenes he's naked along with a female actor. The problem is that the Media has him 'type cast' as Harry Potter so such Adult things are taboo and unheard of for such a young person, even though he's old enough to do such things privately. I actually feel sorry for him as he'll always be 'The Kid That Played Harry Potter'

but for him to do something like that

how would you feel if you were 12 and looked him up on google
and got those naked pics
*and they were'nt just from the play- he posed for a magazine with a white horse and no clothes it was on The View one day* lol

I am afan of harry potter but I dont read the book. Itryed reading the first one when it came out but I couldn't stick with it, But thenn I saw the movie and I fell in love with it. I LOVE to read but the way the auther wrote it I just couldn't get my head in the book.

I'm glad that people DO admit to hating HP. I lost it in the first book when at the end, this DUmmy wizard (Dumb-Bore) suddenly made Harry Potter's house win by giving them 160 points. Basically they were in a competition, HP was losing very badly, then JKR invented some totally retard excuse "HP is a hero and his friends are heroes" and made them win.

Entire book is filled with bull like that. IE since HP must win, JKR invents all reasons for him to win.

If you did this in anime, everybody would get mad. Yeah, right, Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop) is losing a gunfight against 1000 enemies, so suddenly a meteror shower takes place and he's the only one to survive. Would anybody sane accept this kind of crap ending?

I'm not too crazy about him,but his movies are pretty good.
