Thread: Empty Movie theaters

Haha Im sorry about that, but im sure that was pretty fun too. =]
I was never completely alone, but me and a group of my friends had the theater to ourselves for a movie I have forgotten the name to.
Its great to be able to make comments whenever we want and run around like a bunch of morons without disturbing others.

no it never happened to me but that would sure be fun just to be with a group of friends alone in a theater acting silly and running around lol priceless. you could be loud as you want and not care lol =]

Nothing has happened to me on that grand a scale, but I have been in a theatre with a less than satisfactory audience. Either that or it was packed with obnoxious teenagers and annoying children.

Abu and I have been to empty theatres.

But that's mainly cuz we watch movies on a weekday... morning... WEEKDAY MORNING.

... Other than Wednesdays and Fridays, most theatres are empty in the morning.


It's true that not as much people watch movies anymore - but it's a rare occurence when a semi-popular, popular, or very-popular theatre is empty on a weekend or weekday afternoon-night.

I go to the movies sometimes,but not very often. I can download movies instead of going to see them. It's free and if the movie sucks u didn't have to pay to see it. I like going to the movies tho. I just don't go a lot.

It was pretty f***king awesome. I saw Punisher War Zone in an entirely empty theater with my friends. We laughed, we threw stuff at the screen, we yelled out commentary. Basically it was like watching it at home but it was on a huge screen with a nice AC.

Anyway, opposite to that, I saw Watchmen in a cramped little theater packed so much the damn thing was sold out. i was in the very back and i had to watch people leave, b***h about the sex and violence, take their kids home, talk, cell phones ringing...a Nightmare.
thank god I saw it again in an empty theater. This time I could get through the movie without hearing, "Hey! the blue guy's naked!", or "Is this a movie or a Porno?", or "I can't believe they would put that much sex and violence in a comic book movie! Close your eyes, little johnny."
Empty movie theaters are a great thing in my opinion.

The question is, why did ANYONE BRING KIDS TO WATCH THAT MOVIE????

...parents really need to know what movie they're going into - or LOOK AT THE FRIGGIN' RATING. Why do parents insist it's okay to take kids to Rated R movies? O_o
...I mean, sure, I was taken to them as a kid, but at least I had no idea what was going on in those - in Watchmen, it's QUITE OBVIOUS what was going on.
