ok i hear final fantsay 7 is gonna be out for ps3 in fantastic grafics but i also hear its coming out fot ds... but i havnt heard anything more on it and i was wondering did anyone esle hear this and does anyone know if its true....???

Now that will be someting to see, I mean I have played almost all the games from the series.
My favourite is still the eighth, but to have the whole series on kick ass graphics and other high end details will indeed be the staring point of something grand.
What you're talking about was a Technology Preview to show the PS3's real time rendering capability and all they showed was the intro to FF7.
There will be no FF7 remake for the Playstation 3.

Regardless of whether it is true or not, Square Enix would be throwing a bucket of gold away if they were to decide to not remake FF7. Look at how successful GameCube's remake of Resident evil was. All that needed was a few changes.

Even despite the fact that I would love a remake for the game, it's not needed. We already know the story, and it's kind of sad if they do the remake just for the money seeing as how there are so many fanatics, especially if the remake were to be a disappointment in terms of improvement. Just because it is prettier in terms of graphics, does not mean the game is superior by a long shot.
Not that I wouldn't buy a ps3 and get the game the day it came out, cause I would. Sad, isn't it?

You have to kep in mind when you talk about these guys they are kind of dorks who probably didn't excel at much and this is their only outlet to flex their muscles. I havent really heard anything on a FF7 remake for the PS3. I've only seen that they've released a new version of FF1&2 for the PSP recently. (So lets see...that'd make it its 4th remake for each? For the WonderSwan, PlayStation, GBA, and then the PSP?) Seems like all FFs are undergoing renewal these days. 1,2,4,5, and 6 is available on the GBA, 3 for the DS and 1 and 2 for the PSP. I did hear a rumor that 4 is undergoing a complete renewal like 3 for the DS...but I've yet to see any solid info on it.
Lets not forget the FF:Tactics series and I believe FF12:Revenant Wings is due for release soon?
