Well I recently found myself bored of FFXI well not so much bored of it just looking for a break and I started buying games I liked as well as a few new games but I'd like to try other games I may like and was hoping to get some suggestions from the AO community just to give you an idea of the games I like here is what I've ordered recently

Dot.Hack G.U.(I have 1-4 already)

as well as FF games I've also started to play more shooter type games like Halo but I don't personally own an x-box bill gates has enough of my money so if you could keep any suggestions limited to the PS that would be great.

I am guessing you meant PS2 as most of those games are for the PS2 and are not out for PS1. You can try Resident Evil 4. Its an awesome game, nice story, nice graphics and quite a bit scary. If you want to know more about Resident Evil then here.
Also, seeing that you like RPG games (FF, like duh!), you can try the Elder Scrolls series.

You can also try to buy Grandia 2 and Grandia 3. They are awesome RPGs and are not just like "save the world" like. You do start off as a nornmal guy and do normal things. For Grandia info,

Call of Duty 3 would be great for your PS2, if you haven't gotten FFXII also that.
It would be easier to name some games for your computer also if your computer can handle it.
KH2 and ff 12 that is my suggestions because those are my favorite games.

metal gear 3, is a pretty good game, it has some funny moments and you get to have fun on it, like playing around with the enemy and get to capture live animals like snakes, rabbits, fish, but nothing better though only small ones. plus you get better weapons at it such as the M16, has a laser or i think attached to it, also the camera view lets you see other things like pressing R, and it shows you whats behind the person, for example while be interrogated it says press R and you'll see a ghost behind the person given you the passcode's and time left of a bomb.
