    Good Japanese Bands?

I'm looking for some good Japanese music to buy. Problem is I don't know any bands except for
L' Arc En Ciel and I really liked them. I've listened to some other stuff before and really liked it.
Please give me some names I don't care what genre they are like J-pop J-punk etc. I like 'em all.
Anything you like or heard before please reply to this thread. Thank you.

    Re: Good Japanese Bands?

There's too many to name. Here are all the bands that are in my collection.

NOTE: Some Visual Kei bands have become J-Rock bands, but I'll just put them under Visual Kei anyway.

    Visual Kei
    Alice Nine
    An Cafe
    Dir en grey
    D'espairsRay
    The Candy Spooky Theatre
    Gackt
    Gazette
    Glay
    hide
    Kagrra
    La'Chryma Chrysti
    Malice Mizer
    metronome
    Moi Dix Mois
    MUCC
    Nightmare
    Penicillin
    Pierrot
    Schwarz Stein
    X JAPAN

    J-Rock
    Asian Kung-Fu Generation
    B'z
    BAHRAM
    Buck-Tick
    BUMP OF CHICKEN
    Cool Joke
    HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
    Orange Range
    the pillows
    Plastic Tree
    Porno Graffiti
    Straightener
    TRICERATOPS
    Tsubaki
    UVERworld

    J-Pop/Rock
    Beat Crusaders
    the brilliant green
    Chikusen Satou
    Do As Infinity
    Fake?
    Flow
    Going Underground
    HYDE
    Judy and Mary
    little by little
    monoral
    Mr. Children
    Noodles
    Oblivion Dust

    J-Metal
    Onmyouza
    Sex Machineguns

    J-Punk
    Ellegarden
    Stance Punks

    J-Hip-Hop
    Rip Slyme

    Other
    Attack Haus
    Boom Boom Satellites
    Melt-Banana
    Yoshida Brothers

Attack Haus is a fusion band. Techno and J-Rock put together.
Boom Boom Satellites is a techno group that incorporates rock into their music.
    Melt-Banana is a noise-rock group with a female lead.
Yoshida Brothers is a techno group that incorporates classic Japanese instuments.

All of that is in my iPod. LOL. And I'm still looking for more, but most of those bands are keepers. I recommend each and every one of them (if they suit your tastes).

The pop singer, Boa Kwon, is Korean. The band that played the song "Duvet" in serial experiments Lain is British. Both are called Boa except some minor differences in the way that they spell their names.

    K-Pop singer = BoA
    British band = bôa
