Hey, let's create our own Final Fantasy

What's your ideal Final Fantasy game? If you created it, how would you fun it, down to the the battle system?

I'd bring back FF7's materia system, but change it a bit. You get gems (like the older ones) that decide on your class, and the materia is class specific. Some character can use specific materia, others can't. Some materia is opem, some types of materia can't be used. Plus you can learn ablities from the materia, like commands. That might be kinda cool. And back to turn-based or turn-based optional. KEEPING SLOTS ON WEAPONS IS THE BIGGEST THING!!!!!!! Iwould have loved to see Tidus own people with an Enemy Skill like Beta or Magic Breath. BAHUMAT ZERO and KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND, I sorely miss them.

I would bring back the old, you choose the class thing, and also, you can choose wether to be evil and destroy the land, kingdom whatever, or to be good and save everything! What you do effects wether your evil or good!

That would be an interesting twist. I don't believe I've seen good/evil in Final Fantasy before. (That is I haven't played it before.)

I would have the old chose your class with some materia options with class level ups and catch a chokobo.

I'd probably make the battle system more like Kingdom Hearts 2. Like reaction commands and special abilities. I love how it's fast paced and you can move around. There should also be Materia so you can unlock special finishing blows or magick.

I'd leave the Materia alone. I prefer drawing spells - coz with Materia you can only equip so few to each character. Whereas with spell-drawing, you can have like... how many pages again? worth of spells per character. I'd probably keep all the old GFs... I definitely wouldn't replace the traditional Limit Break with Trance (LIMIT BREAKS ALL THE WAY!!!).


....... what's up with the unusable Materia?

Let's use some FFX features like dresspheres. With the unusable materia let's make some powerful weaponry.

i would love to see odin and bahamut zero as summoned mosnters again and
have the maria set up as power source that is drained after so long and you have to recharge it some how it would make it more dificult . and the weapon sysetm should automaticly upgrage with the player and whatever skill is learned or earned should be imbued into the weapon of choice so you would have to buy a better weapon or armour and wasit your gold
