I'm okay with hip-hop and R&B. Not a huuuuuuuuge fan, though. I just like beats I can dance to, like Lose My Breath (Destiny's Child) and SOS (Rihanna).Destiny's Child is awesome. I don't really pay attention to the lyrics though. I figure they're either not going to mean anything or not go down well with me, soooooo.. yeah.
I like non-commercial hiphop, such as Jedi Mind Tricks, Blackstar, Fort Minor, Hilltop Hoods, Demigodz, Bliss N Eso, Eminem's first album, Jurassic 5, some Nas, Nfa.
The reason I like that hip hop is because they put alot of effort into their lyrics, as apposed to your generic mainstream hiphop/rap.
He speaks to me through sounds and bells.
It all depends on what the lyrics of hip hop truly say. If it doesn't say anything that I like, then I won't listen to it. If its catchy, I'll listen to it.

I like Korean hip-hop... ^^;; At least, that's what I generally hear 1tym and Jinusean and such referred to as... hip-hop... I don't really like American hip-hop because the lyrics always bug me... so I like it better when it's in a language I can't understand ^_^ I mean, I have my friends translate it for me so I know what I'm listening to isn't TOO bad generally... but I don't know what is being said when so it doesn't bother me. Because I really do like the beats and some of the singer's voices. Aaahhh, ignorance IS be bliss.
