Thread: Horror Films?

I like those that's somewhere in between those two..... Because some old horror arent really scary, you can almost predict whats going to happend, but the new once are almost to scarry, because they can make it look so unbeliveably real

On the other side the newer ones are usually very bland, uninspired and rely too much on SFX.

i prefer the classics or old movies myself give me
Vincent price or Boris karloff any day because the old
movies didn't need naked chicks to draw crowds because
the actors were that good , in fact today's horror films only draw
big crowds if something sexual is going on no matter how insignificant.

the 70's films like the Texas chainsaw massacre
or something simuler they had there own styke for
gore reasons but im sticking with the old horror films
i am calling it the prechainsaw days.

well the best horror films for me resided in the 80s, 90s, and some in the 2000s. I enjoyed the Nightmare on elm street, and friday the 13th series, although now adays scary movies really aren't scary..

The modern scary movies are all about gore and blood. That stuff isn't scary. Things that people can't control are far scarier. For example, Nightmare on Elm Street. Getting murdered in your dreams seems to be much more terrifying than just any regular slasher film.

True horror films have died. What we have now is suspense. If previous generations (namely, the Black and White TV age) had had our special effects, there would be no contest.

Todays so called Horror Films are more funny than any thing.There just to dependant on the special effects and don't really focus on scaring the heel out of some one.Now the older ones a way better they are actually scary todays ones have just lost the scary touch .
