How did you get interested into your favorite music

I listen to what ever somebody sends me right now im into techno:D:

My friends introduced me to all the music I listen to now. I listen to rock, country and some metal. I also got introduced to j-pop through anime and I dragged my friends into it!:laugh:

I love metal and techno, weird combo isn't it. Well I grew up around metal, I was taken to a pantera concert when I was very little, and I liked j-pop for awhile but that changed into loving techno.

My parents got me into music when I was a little kid.
My introduction to music was Fleetwood Mac and The Police.

I went on to experiment and discover new music from there.

My older brother got me into grunge and metal when I was younger.

I was stationed in Texas while I was in the Air Force. Most of the music played down there is Country Western. After A while it sort of grew on me and I have been listening to it ever since.

I was raised in a rock/metal environment--Mom loves Bob Dylan, uncle loves hair and trash metal, some uncles and aunts are into the classics(rock) and psychedelic, yadda yadda...I was born in 86 when hair metal was hot and my uncle says that the first songs i got fond of are from Slippery When Wet(Bon Jovi) and Open Up and Say Ahhhh (Poison). I have very fond memories of my childhood during the early 90s when hair metal gave way (or was killed) by grunge. As i was growing up i got to discover and appreciate music from Queensryche and DT, Tesla, Vai, Satch, etc....So yeah basically you could map out my musical preference based on what i've said.

OK I am going to ask a very simple question here people????

How is it that a thread that is two years old get revived and then has 23 replies from members, com. members and veterans and neither of you report it?????? Even I thought it was a little strange that a thread created by KnightofNi is still active.
