Thread: How did you get interested into your favorite music

i was rasied listening to it so it became what i listen to and like now

i listen to what my sis listens to. i guess it's one of those "learning from impressions" things. my fav band is evanescence and even though my sis listens to it i think i also naturally like the music- the music is just my style. . . . .

Anime and friends influenced what i currently listen to

let's see.....the artist is one of the reasons....if my fren suggested it or heard it somewhere, i'll go check out their other songs...then there's the lyrics(very important) and the kind of music like pop, rock(doesnt suit me), coutry(depends) n so on.

Well, uhm... I got into punk rock because of my classmate from 6th Grade and my cousin. They're both my idols! So anyway, they liked punk rock. I tried listening to some songs by Simple Plan, my 6th Grade classmate's fave band, and I totally got the meanings of the songs! It was as if I could relate to them, you know...

So now I'm, like, into a lot of bans. Simple Plan, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, etc. ^^

i got into hard rock and metal by hearing papa roach in 6th grade at a dance. they played Last Resort and i fell in love with it. i bought the album and found similar artists. i also found out about other bands through my best friend's older brother. he burned me a cd and there were alot of good hard rock and metal songs on it. but jammin to this music ever since.

any song that gives me goose bumps or makes me jump with the beat becomes my fav un tell I'm fed up and look for more. I started when I heard the song in the opening of Roswell (the series) which got me hooked.
