Well let me see...i think i got into my favorite music not to long after i was introduced to Metallica..hm..
Well a long time ago maybe five years or so ago my bro was a hardcore Metallica fan...he had a cd..And Justice for all..i believe...and he keep playing it on the stareo system..and eventualy it grew on me...
Metaillica may seem very out dated and i don't listen to them anymore but they were my starting point into the heavyer music ..and u must admit their guitar stuff sonds pritty good for what it is...it's really simple to play..that is what i was recongmened to learn first when i started playing the guitar..and it worked for me..
Anyways now a days im into more screamo, death metal and just plain hevey metal...anything that sounds hardcore

My friend told me to listen to heavy metal. Then I did, and I got stuck to it. I got into playing the guitar from listening to Iron maiden, Black sabbath, and metallica. Then i quit Playing the guitar due, to training proposes. Right now i listen to wide Variety of metal, Rock and Jazz. Classics are my favourite, for example Led zeppelin, jimi hendrix. For my birthday coming up, I want to acquire an electric drum set.

i got introduced to rock, classic rock, and heavy metal when i went to my new school in 7th grade. before that, i used to just listen to what was on the radio, but when i went to my new school and made new friends, they told me to listen to metallica, iron maiden, aerosmith, etc. i really liked what i listened to and it grew on me. right now, im into heavy metal and death metal, basically the darker styles of music.

My friends introduced me to all the music I listen to now. I listen to rock, country and some metal. I also got introduced to j-pop through anime and I dragged my friends into it!

I love metal and techno, weird combo isn't it. Well I grew up around metal, I was taken to a pantera concert when I was very little, and I liked j-pop for awhile but that changed into loving techno.

My parents got me into music when I was a little kid.
My introduction to music was Fleetwood Mac and The Police.

I went on to experiment and discover new music from there.

My older brother got me into grunge and metal when I was younger.

I was stationed in Texas while I was in the Air Force. Most of the music played down there is Country Western. After A while it sort of grew on me and I have been listening to it ever since.

I was raised in a rock/metal environment--Mom loves Bob Dylan, uncle loves hair and trash metal, some uncles and aunts are into the classics(rock) and psychedelic, yadda yadda...I was born in 86 when hair metal was hot and my uncle says that the first songs i got fond of are from Slippery When Wet(Bon Jovi) and Open Up and Say Ahhhh (Poison). I have very fond memories of my childhood during the early 90s when hair metal gave way (or was killed) by grunge. As i was growing up i got to discover and appreciate music from Queensryche and DT, Tesla, Vai, Satch, etc....So yeah basically you could map out my musical preference based on what i've said.
