Hi, I am in the process of learning Japanese, and one of the many suggestions is to kisten to Japanese Music. I dont know a whole lot about the Japanese music scene, but I know I like Asian Kung-Fu Generation. If you know of any other bands with a similar style that would be really helpful.
I'm not sure if this is Japanese or Korean, but I really enjoy listening to music by BoA. I like the English version of the Lights of Seoul, and the song Nothings Going to Change my Love.
Similar to Asian Kung-fu Generation huh? You might want to consider these:
1] Straightener.
2] The back horn.
3] Bump of Chicken.
4] Art-School.
5] Remioromen.
6] Syrup16g.
7] Thee Michelle Gun Elephant.
8] Kohl.
9] Triceratops.
I can't think of more at the moment... but these should suffice. Most of these bands are pretty similar to Asian Kung-fu Generation, though not exactly alike, but I am sure you will find at least one of them enjoyable.. Also look into Fuji fabric, they are really good, and might make good first impression on you ~!! And lastly, try Chatmonchy, in a way, they are sort of the female counterparts of Asian Kung-fu Generation. =P
Well, I hope this helps.
